I'm not going to go into a lot of details, but in my job I work over 60 hours a week and it involves a lot of heavy lifting. This week I have had to call out twice because my body is physically exhausted. In 2 days I worked 32 hours so today I called out (my second time this week) and a supervisor asked if this was my second time I called out this so I told him of course it was. Long story short he said he was going to write me up and I told him if he did, that I would notify the D.O.T and corporate that the branch was violating labor laws and D.O.T guidelines. He didn't say anything so I'm just waiting to see where this goes. So who else hates there job? Lol

I work over 60 hours a week hauling solar panels around all day. Each panel weighs 15.5 kilograms and they come in boxes of 26, each box weighing just under half a ton. The average haul is getting 60 solar panel kits ready (18 on a pallet plus installation kit) by the end of the shift for installation. That's 1080 solar panels which is around 17 tons worth of manual lifting (minus the truck to get them from racking to floor) and this is every day including weekends . The thing is thought I don't hate it because it pays and the lads I work with make the job great.

Yeh, I think most people hate their jobs (http://www.primermagazine.com/2009/earn/man-up-everyone-hates-their-job). But sometimes i think it has less to do with what they are doing, and more to do with the fact that they need to do it for money.

Man, I just wish I could find a job. I do my best to give off a professional vibe, and yet even McDonalds won't hire me. ;_;

Yeah thats the main reason why I put up with it. When you have to feed your family you will do anything, but I definitely know it does not mean you have to like it. Oh well, hopefully I will be able to get into a P.M.C firm soon.
