So is there a checksum on Dead Space 3, i only ask because I want to know if It's possible for me to just hex edit my resources myself.

I think so. Dead Space 2 had some really heavy security (multiple checks and possible encryption), so I would think the sequel would as well. I would be really surprised if it wasn't protected. Sorry.

Chances are pretty high that an editor won't be made for Dead Space 3. One was never made for DS2, and I can't imagine EA would use less security on the sequel.
As I said before, DS2 has some really crafty security. Well, as far as I know, it hasn't been completely cracked yet. If DS3 is anything like its predecessor in terms of security, then don't expect much. At the moment, there are some great starter saves floating around, as well as a modding service started by Idlehands88.

Anybody know of some farming areas in the early parts of the game?

Hasn't Horizon got a Dead Space 2 money editor? Could be possible as there are some really skilled coders on here

Horizon does have a Dead Space 2 credit editor, not sure if it works, as I know the Dead Space 1 editor they have does NOT work.

I just know that Renegade was having a really hard time figuring out that second checksum in Dead Space 2. But Iddlehands88 and chrome seem to be modding Dead Space 3 on request, so who knows. Maybe there is less security, and maybe an editor is more likely than I think. To be honest, I'm completely ignorant on DS3's save file, so I'm not speaking on any authority on the matter; I'm just making guesses here.

Real time modding, is the way I successfully modded my resources. That is how borderlands 2 was until someone finally cracked the save.

The Horizon DS2 editor works perfectly, I just tried it out.

Dead Space 3 has 3-4 checksums, 2 EA Checksums and another 1-2 custom... So far only JTAG modding it is possible, using Peek Poker/Trainers...
