that was a really bad reveal ... system is to big and clunky looking , requiring the kinect to function (bad idea) the system specs look decent ,controller looks alright i want to see actual gameplay not computer trailers.
will wait to see what else they have to offer before i decide .... but i will not go to ps4 may just stick with 360 or snes lol

this was posted over at the blu-ray forum.
Laughing at Microsoft on their decision on charging full price to activate a used Xbox One disc.

Dude I feel the same way, something about the PS4 got my attention, this however did not & I "WAS" really excited for this. Ok I'm a very loyal Xbox fan however, going away from the used game & having to pay to use used games, that's a big fuck you from me, I work very hard for my money & in this day & age, i'd rather go where online is free & i can buy used games & not feel ripped off when loading into the xbox one.

It having to be online at least once day to play a single-player game is a major deal breaker for me.
As we speak, yes really, Sony's market share has received a massive increase. Oh Lordy! The X1 is most definitely weaker than the PS4 to me right now.
The X1 will get rooted, and then we'll see who's really at a loss.
Here's to PC gaming, may you forever improve for your customers and never discard them, as MS has done with both its computer OS and gaming console.

I didn't watch all of the video but I didn't need to. I will not be getting and Xbox 1. The online everyday and you can't even rent or borrow a game to see if you like it before buying. No thanks. I will just pick up a couple spare 360s when the price goes down on them some more and play those for years to come.

The reveal didn't have anything remotely interesting to me. I was already thinking of going back to the Playstation and this reveal sealed the deal for me now. No more hesitation.

Really disappointed at the reveal.
When the reveal show started, it is 2am at the country i live at but I'm still stayed up to watched it.
But when it brought up the name 'Xbox One', it immediately held me back.
And I'm asking myself, this is the name for the next-gen Xbox they came up with?
I thought it will be cool if the name is either 'Xbox 720' or 'Xbox Infinity' as rumored, I'll be ok with it, but 'Xbox One'? really?
When I'm talked with my buddies just now about 'Xbox One', they all thought I'm joking and they assumed I'm talking about the original Xbox.
Major deal breaker for me is they actually block used game which is irrelevant in so many aspects. Although I understand that they wanted to prevent piracy in gaming.
They even included Kinect (which I hate so much) as part of the requirement for running the new console. (for all gamers who hates Kinect, MS kinda shoved it into all our throats with this one)
Another deal breaker is gamers actually have to connect online at least once per day. (for all SP games?)
Biggest problem is that the internet here in the country I live in (as well as other countries) is very slow and unstable.
In other mean, I'm unable to just start and play the game that I've already pay for at my convenience.
Because the new console not allowed me to play it because I'm unable to meet the 'requirement' for connect to online.
This is just irrelevant and disappointing. They tends to move away from the gaming aspect.
I agreed that MS Xbox had pulled the trigger towards their own head with this one.
I still owned and play the original Xbox along with Xbox 360 until these days.
But if there are nothing new that truly excites me from Microsoft regarding this "Xbox One", I think it is time for me to give a chance to Sony and own a PS4 for next-gen.

xbox pre-owned fee "likely to be the FULL price of the game" acording to various sources.
always online "as at least once per day with no answer as to what would happen if you don't connect".
xbox tv "The service will not be supported out of the box; Xbox One Live TV will require a separate supported receiver device with HDMI output to work. and is only available in the U.S at launch" (so it will be region locked as well so there will be less choice for european and other countries) you will also need a cable provider in your country (so your paying for cable/satalite + xbox live + you need a seperate supported reciver) just to watch.
so to sum it up we are xbox one we are no longer a fucking games console.
as i have been saying for months with this confirmed, chances are i will be going to over to the Playstation 4 as it will be focused on gaming rather than tv support + it has no preowned games fee yes they will be starting to charge for playstation network connection (like xbox live is now so it should be more secure than before and have better connections/less lag) and there will likely be no tv through it (after all if i wanted to watch tv i would watch it like normal tv and not through my GAMES CONSOLE).

I wasn't impressed with the reveal of the Xbox One, it almost looks as if Microsoft forgot to focus on the gaming experience. Hopefully they have held some "big guns" behind to show at the E3.
oh well.. i'll still get Xbox.... i'm thinking they will change some of these rumors,...

No matter how many "big guns" they gonna bring.. they just ruined it
they moved from gaming to All in One... might aswell call it Xbox AIO
I owned a PS1 and PS2 and moved to Xbox360 because it was cheaper than PS3 and was hackable at the time I bought it Looks like I'm coming home to PS4 hopefully it will get hacked fast so i can enjoy free games again xD

Yeah, this is quite disappointing. Seems MS has their heads so far up their asses that they think they can take on everyone, they'll try to compete with ps4, pc, and smart TVs, and in the end I see them failing horribly. Seems the greed that has been ruining this industry for the last 4-5 years has finally crossed the line. They took a page right out of EA's playbook by giving the finger to anyone buying a used game, only they took it one step further by charging full price. Looks like it's going to be ps4 for me, I switched from ps2 to the 360, now it looks like I'll be switching back, there's no way I'll be buying a system that won't play the 50+ 360 games I've bought for it. Honestly I'm quite shocked that they could be this stupid, they have to know that they will lose a massive amount of fans with their blatant greed, this is what happens when you have a bunch of greedy suits that couldn't give two shits about the games calling the shots. All I can say is that E3 for MS better be the absolute best thing I've ever seen in my life for them to have even a chance of keeping my business; not that they care about one person, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way. They better get their shit together and make some serious changes before E3.

I think the worst part of all of this, is that nothing has been 100% confirmed, I was really hoping that the reveal would clear up some of the rumors, instead there's just more stuff to sort through trying to separate fact from bullshit...:011:
Now we have to wait for E3 in a few weeks and hope to get some answers there, although I do think that many of the rumors sound true considering the direction the industry has gone in recent years.

Terrible, awful reveal - I just can't believe it myself how MS can go down that path with all the restrictions and unnecessary fluff and bullcrap - YOU ARE SHAYTING OFF THE GAMERS, YOUR MAIN SOURCE OF REVENUE:
Microsoft: "Ooh, lookyhere - there's a shiny loaded gun on that table!" /picks up gun, points at face
Gun: "You might want to think about what you're doing there, sir - you might get hurt or worse!"
Microsoft: "Fuck you, I'm Microsoft!"
*BLAM*, splat...
