So when this game releases anyone going to try to come out with a tool for it?

I would love to mod equipment and gold ^^

What game hasn't been modded when it gets released?

Also if the PC version of the game stores everything on their Servers, then the xbox version will be like that too. Meaning that it will NOT be possible to mod.

You won't be able to make editors for games like these because they store all the data on the servers..

We can only hope that maybe something will be client side and therefore moddable, but I doubt it. It'd be cool to mod cooldowns and proc rates and such, I got tired of playing D3 for a while though...

I am pretty sure characters are client side.

I'm guessing it's gonna be a tough one. If it's anything like the PC version, it will require always-on connection, with all "rules" being server side. They essentially simulate the environment and all actions on the server, and the client is really only a renderer.

Only way that will work if you find a bug/explicit and send packet data.. Used to do that on D2...lol

diablo 3 modding will be working because game can be played offline local and online like sacred2 and nothing is server sided

but if you are online im pretty sure that blizzard/activision will be keeping track of your account through battle.net which im sure they will make us sign up for just to play the game...... the few people who modded diablo 3 on pc pre-release were kicked from the public servers

I'm 100% sure that will never happen.. blizzard cant use her damn Warden ( anti cheat software) to catch xbox users and check the saves... nothing is server side saved on the console version same on ps3 too..

if you can not believe it google it..

the only thing that could happen maybe blizzard use a super encryption for the gamesaves but who cares we got a JTAG/RGH 360 and can create mega saves for the community :)

Battle.net is not connected to the Xbox or PS3 version of the game you will not need to sign up for battle.net

Also since you can play offline and the characters aren't stored on the server it should be easy.

Well I will download the leaked version of the game as soon as it becomes available. I will try modding the save file first, if that doesn't work, then I'll make a modded starter save :P

What game hasn't been modded when it gets released? A lot of games. Otherwise we would have a save editor for every single Xbox 360 Game as well as every single Xbox 360 Arcade game on this website.

This game has no servers and will never be connected to battlenet. I'm pretty sure once everything gets worked out this game will be able to be modded as much as Borderlands 2.

Yeah, this is nothing like the PC version. Everything is very much client side. That being said, Blizzard probably has a whole mess of encryption and checksums to prevent tampering. It could very well be a long road ahead before we see any sort of editing ability, though of course I would love to be wrong. =)

This exactly, there is leaps and bound of progress to be made but I give it a couple weeks and pretty much 80% or more of everything needed to know about modding this game is pretty much figured out.
