So i got the new kernal update today...

Well yeah....Drive was not flashed, console was not modified, and well yeah, this is what i sent MS.


This morning when I hopped on my xbox 360 to check some messages and show my cousin L.A Noire, I was prompted to download the update for the new 13xxx kernal. However after updating and signing back into Xbox LIVE, it seems none of my discs are reading, and when they do, there is massive framerate lag or general lag in the game, For example, on L.A Noire, I was walking in a straight line, and it took about 6-8 seconds to respond, I then tried on a few other games, and the same issue is occuring...I think it's safe to say this update mangled my xbox 360...not to mention, The disc drive is getting stuck and saying play DVD sometimes too. Yes i've tried all the troubleshooting, and it is indeed the update that has caused this. Regards - Mike

Its a known issue. the new kernal will re write the flashed dvd drive everytime you turn it on. So basically everytime you go to xbox live the system will reflash the dvd drive to stock. All of them except hitachi. C4eva is working on it. But atleast you can play bought games.

All of my games are purchased, legally, i get almost every release. They are not working.

i also did the new kernal update but have not experianced any problems with my games, i also have la noire and i have not had any issues so far

I know your problem that update is not compatible with your xbox 360 if you read about it they say if this happens and nothing can be fixed you get a brand new xbox 360 so i think your xbox is pretty much broke now but atleast you get a new one

this problem was supposed to be only happening to the beta testers and the problem M$ say was "supposed" to be sorted out.
