Yea I stopped watching for years, but then caught one episode of RAW one night when I had nothing to do and theybrought out some old legends n stuff. But for some reason I been watching more n more with my son hoping one day they get rid of the PG crap lol Last monday looked like they were hinting at going back to the Ruthless Aggression era by how many times he said Ruthless Aggression that night lol but they could be just BS'ing. Still it was a good RAW, first time in years

Era: Memphis in the 80's. (yeah I'm old). Attitude Era was good if you count ECW and Monday Night Wars.
Superstar: Randy Savage. Curt Hennig and Kurt Angle.
Did you meet them: I've met quite a few but unfortunately these three are not on the list
Stable: Jimmy Hart's First Family in Memphis, Heenan's stable in WWF, Four Horsemen in WCW/NWA, Triple Threat in ECW.

I don't think the younger generation will ever truly understand how much more fun wrestling was back in the days of territories. Wrestlers moving from region to region kept things from getting stale. Young guys had more places to hone their skills and grow as a performer and guys could come into a territory and make an immediate impact because the crowd already knew who they were. Each territory had their own hometown heroes and a slightly different style. The closest wrestling ever got to this after Vince was the Monday Night Wars.

ERA? GOlden Era (I loved the old school WWF)
Superstar? Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
Did you meet them in real life? No
Theme songs? Orton
Stable? None

Can't beat The Golden Era of WWF wrestling.

Those of you who are younger, go get some DVDs of classic old school WWF matches. The Intercontinental Title match between Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Randy "Macho Man" Savage from Wrestlemania III is still widely regarded as one of the best matches of all time.

ERA?
Attitude, without question.

(Not just because of the superstars. But the style, & the audience even.
Today's audience sounds like they're too busy looking down at their smartphones
to cheer or chant for a match. & just the way some shows start now a days... it's sad...
In the attitude era, you got a great RAW intro followed by an almost 4th of july like fireworks display
& I ridiculously loud crowd, that we never see anymore unless CM Punk is in Chicago.
The merger of the brands should have been the
best thing ever, but it ended up being a disappointment for me.)

Superstar?
The Rock, Bret Hart, & Stone Cold Steve Austin

(Favorite Divas would be Melina first, she was a great wrestler, & spent too long under John's failing character & intro.
Sunny, Maryse because she had a great character & style. But I will say I like AJ just because she was a hardcore fan like me & isn't a snob.)

Did you meet them in real life?
When I was a kid, I got an autographed photo from Bret Hart at
a local grocery store in Nebraska. Looooong line for the excellence of execution.

Theme songs?
The Rock, HHH, DX, Mr Perfect, Vince McMahon & most recently, Dolph Ziggler,
& quite a few of the Raw Show theme songs

Stable?
DX, & the Corporation

Anything else you want to add?
I hope 2k does right by the games because I've had enough of THQ.
WWE 13 has great features, but completely broken & idiotic gameplay decisions.
Who thought it would be smart to bring back button mashing for submissions, &
make kicking out of pins too easy. It basically gives the win to whoever has a
turbo controller. Seeing some of my fave franchises go down the tubes in some
areas is one of the reasons I'm getting a degree in game design.
Sorry, kinda off topic. :P

Attitude Era ftw!
