I'll list some that you can look into that I played that I thought made me feel uneasy:
Alan Wake
Condemned
Condemned 2: Blood Shot
F.E.A.R (All 3 maybe?)
Doom BFG edition (Maybe)
Resident Evil HD (Veronica, 4) on demand one
Jericho (Maybe)

Probably there are other one that I didn't mention but try searching around on the web other people might say something else. Good luck with your search!

The horror games by Monolith are good. The problem is they don't handle sequels well. So while FEAR and Condemned were great, their sequels were kinda "meh" in the scary department (FEAR 2 was a great FPS game, it just wasn't all that scary). Nothing really beats walking through an old clothing store in an abandoned outlet mall that you know is filled with enemies but all you see is mannequins.

Also, the expansion packs for FEAR are pretty great, even if they aren't canon to the story. I don't know if you can still download them via Xbox Live, but they're also available as a separate game called FEAR Files, so if not you can buy that.

Thanks guys i will be trying Fear and Condemned soon lol i searched the web, most people think Dead space 1,2 and 3 were scary but i only got a bit scared in the begining of dead space 1 after that i felt like i was hunting them haha,so yeah i think sequels are a bad idea since you will most likely know what to expect therefore not scary at all :)

yeah like Emerald said Fear and Condemned are scary but not to me, i don't get scared easily, but i can see why people would be scared playing those games

A game that I still find scary is "Fatal Frame" but its for xbox not 360; There was a Fatal frame 2 and a 3, but 3 was never imported to the US.

If you're honestly looking for a good horror experience in terms of gaming, I suggest you drop the 360, pick up an old PS2 and slam a copy of Fatal Frame into the disc tray and start it up. You're going to be happy if the console/disc breaks in the process of slamming, because once it begins... well, you're never going to sleep again.

As for horror games on the 360, Silent Hill HD Collection consists of Silent Hill 2 and 3. Silent Hill 3 isn't scary at all. Silent Hill 2 will make you feel uneasy. Silent Hill: Homecoming is another option, but it's not very scary either. Downour is disappoint. Alan Wake is a bit creepy the first time around, and certain easter eggs can add to the creepometer, but besides that, it's more psychological than it is flat-out horrific. I'd have to say that the 360 is one of the worst consoles for horror by far, because it doesn't house any scary games and the graphics are just laughable.

F.E.A.R is for wimps, Dead Space is cheap jump scares that won't work on anyone with an effective mental age of over six and well, that's about all there is to it. I spent more time shitting myself playing the Leviathan DLC in Mass Effect 3 than I did with any of those games. Although you might consider picking up an old Xbox and trying Cold Fear. That was an eerie game. Anyway, do your best to find the goodies... you're going to need a lot of luck and perhaps a bit of head-bashing. Y'know, against the wall. To make yourself stupid. To prepare for scares that aren't even qualified for any... well.. real.. scares. Y'know?

Ya Fatal Frame was awesome. I don't think any game on the 360 can be as good in terms of horror as that ps2 title.

Fear is okay (The game that is), the early bioshocks had a nice atmospheric scare. As for PC though, Amnesia is good at keeping you on the edge of your seat.

The first few Resident Evil games were pretty scary, too bad the newer ones are just action based and far easier.
F.E.A.R isn't too bad but for 360 there really isn't much selection. Silent Hill is probably one of the few that I would suggest, unless you go back to PS2 where Fatal Frame is a sure winner.

Deadly Premonition the game is a mix of horror and comedy and a bit of insanity sprinkled on.
Id say the game is low budget trash but its the best kind of low budget trash trash i could not stop playing it.
