I know that the game isnt even out jet; But how long do you think it's going to take until we have such great tools for it like we used to have for wwe13 from Arjun The Man or PUR3 RAF3X for example???

Only time will tell, the game could have some serious changes(haha i doubt it :P) and its really up to the dev, but someone will make a tool :) Hell, I think if i can figure this game out i might make a simple moveset editor but no promises because im lazy :/ But anyways, I'm sure there will be a tool within the first 2 months, probably quicker than that :)

Probably not long. WWE Games are usually easy to figure out.

The only thing I'm concerned about needing to mod or hack is PT's and Layers (To bypass the insane blur). It sounds like they've lifted most of the moveset restrictions (I heard somewhere that you can have springboard / rope signatures / finishers in 2K14).

As THQ were already working on the game before 2K took over I think the file structure will remain the same.

The custom renders improve the game so much. Especially entrance videos! Thank god for these tools. Is there any hack to increase the number of CAW slots?

It will most certainly be the same considering this is just built directly off of '13.

Yeah, while I'm sure a lot of the files will be similar if not of the exact same structure, one thing I'm hoping that works is being able to properly import models from '13. Seeing as they've done complete copy and paste jobs on some guys, it gives me a bit of hope. Then again, we were able to bring in models from '12 to '13, but something as small as a lighting bug within the actual model that couldn't be fixed was enough to stop that dead in its tracks. I'm really hoping it works, but I'm certainly not banking on it.

that said TC mentioning great WWE mod tools but not mentioning the master brienj?

My only gripe is the requirement of a jtag to import paint tools. For those of us who can't do that and don't want to bother those that have jtags is attempting the PTs ourselves, which I have done. In doing this, for almost precise 90% looking PTs takes a paint by pixel process that can take from an hour to several to make these PTs. Tattoos are a nightmare!

I'd love to see what brienj could cook up this year, but the word is he's retired. If he is, it's a huge loss, but I'm sure the other programmers will help fill the void.

Well (in response to ozzmonkey) BrienJ was retired before last years release as well, even though this time it might be official. I also agree with FuzzBall due to the fact the 2 Programs I used were PUR3's and BrienJ's (Not to discredit Ajurn cause I didn't even know about your tool sadly, but big thanks for making it!)
In response to the OP probably in December we will have all of the 1st Version Releases of the tools that we seek.

Lmao that's it. I don't see any way to mod this game within seconds like thebpast ganws. They build a fresh new savegamefile. Must be enycrypted or something. I want thq back :/
Just burned the game and played it for a while and i gotta admit it is way better than '13.

Like i said i am playing it right now and looked twice inside the savegamefile (hex) and it is a complete new savegamefile compared to wwe13. You cant see anything just a bunch of random lines at the end and begonning of the savegamefile. More than half the savwgamefile contains nothing just 0's.
We need sonebody to figure out the enycrPtion or whatever they did with the save.

what if you copy the whole save into notepad i did that with the 13 save and some things i was able to see

This might have to do with not having many CAWs or other things like highlight reels, but I was surprised at how small the save file is for 2K14. with only 6 CAWs.. 1 belt.. 1 ring... 3 or 4 open slots in Paint Tool and 2 or 3 replay vids. it's 37.9 mb... compared to a %75 filled '13 save that is 1.6gb.
Also I noticed in '13.. a slot filled (I think) paint tool file is 6,560kb while a 2K14 one with 2 or three open slots is 172kb. Is that what the above is talking about when referring to compression? Probably just answered my own question there, but it seems almost too good compression going on here. *shrug* Pardon the very newb comments on this here. lol
