It looks cool because it's Zelda themed but in all honesty it'll probably end up being pretty repetitive like the Dynasty Warriors gameplay.

I mean, let's be honest here. Every Zelda game outright says that Link himself is crazy powerful and has mad magical skills (he has the literal power of the gods in half of the games for crying out loud). But, except for his awesome backflipping, all of his "power" so far in-game has come from his inventory. The closest things he got in terms of abilities were the medallions from ALttP and the goddess spells from OoT (the former of which were still technically items), with the exception of AoL of course. Hell, even his ability to defeat Ganon in each game is due entirely to the Master Sword. We never really get to see his own abilities shown in any sort of detail.
So I think it's really cool that he's going to be in a game where he's portrayed as this magical sword-wielding powerhouse of a warrior. Typically I don't like the DW formula, but it just seems so right here, what with the actual enemies from Zelda games past and all. I've always wanted to play a Zelda game where you are in the middle of a huge battle (the thousand Heartless battle from KH2 comes to mind). I mean, geez, there have been plenty enough wars in the series' mythos, but we've never been able to actually take part in (or even see directly) any of them. So I think this will open a lot of doors for the Zelda series. And after seeing how Tecmo Koei handled the Metroid brand (I really liked Other M), I think their work on this title will open more doors for Nintendo in general.
Here's hoping, anyway. ^-^

I can see it working a la Four Swords where you just have different colored Links. Or maybe there will be other characters besides Link to play as, like Sheik. It would be cool if it pulled a N3 and let us play as Ganondorf at the end. Hell, if other characters are available, then we might even get to play as regular Hyrule soldiers or something, that would be cool!
But if it's just Link, then they'll likely do MP with different colors (if at all).
