THQ's Danny Bilson has confirmed that Darksiders 2 will be a Wii U launch game.


The Executive Vice President of Core Games has also confirmed that the company is "looking at" making two other games for launch.


Bilson is very excited about the new controller and revealed what it means for Darksiders 2, an adventure that sees you playing as Death, a Horseman Of The Apocalyse who roams around the Underworld on a fiery steed, taking out skeletons, zombies and monsters.


"We're planning on putting Darksiders 2 on the new console at launch," confirmed Bilson. "Darksiders 2 has very deep inventory system. The new controller allows for the inventory screen to be active at the same time as the adventure on the main screen so as soon as we saw that, that was the first game we started to move onto the new platform."


He added: "It's not just going to be Darksiders 2, we're looking at two other titles for launch and many more beyond that. We're incredibly supportive and excited about the new console."

Apparently not anymore, its looking like a few of the big games will headed in its direction when its released. Be nice to see Nintendo move away from all that cutesy stuff for a change.

Darksiders II has been announced for Wii-u, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC :)

Going through the first one at the mo and lovin it, cant wait to see what Death can do!

Short of the controller being so big (it actually does seem brilliantly ludicrous), I think with Nintendo stepping into the current gen and a half step beyond; It seems they are allowing for more 3rd party support and gaining all the right kinds. It's as if the Wii launched Nintendo's revival for casual gamers and the WiiU is going to be their attempt to pull in the hardcore gamers. With Valve jumping on board and Crytek, now Darksiders 2. I am very excited for the WiiU.
