What's vast, oblong and jet-powered? (1) My ego, and (2) this starcraft from the world of Halo on Xbox One, created by new art director Nicolas "Sparth" Bouvier.

Sparth replaces 343 veteran Kenneth Scott, who has moved to California from Washington in order to be with his family - Scott will still offer a bit of long-distance input as visual design consultant. Discussing this changing of the guard, executive producer Josh Holmes also hinted at more announcements about Halo Xbox One shortly.

"2014 is here and much is afoot in the Halo universe," he wrote. "This past year has been a time of great transition at 343 as we've moved our engine and team from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and begun building the next chapter in the Halo saga.

"We're proud of what we accomplished with our first release in Halo 4 and now we're focused on something much more transformative as we make the leap to the next generation of Xbox. We showed a hint of what we have in store at E3 last year and we're excited to share more in the not-so-distant future. Please be patient - we can't wait to show you what we have in store."

What do you think of the artwork? It's rumoured that the forthcoming Halo has an episodic story. In other news, Halo Xbox One and Microsoft's Halo TV show aren't the only projects underway at 343 right now.13979
