Ok..First - Yep. I have done a search on this and I have not been able to find an answer on the help & support threads.

And I have looked through the ENTIRE internet also. (Ok... Maybe not the entire internet, but a good portion of it lol)

I am using Xport 360 (v2.12) to pull my savegame data from FF 13 in order to edit it using the great editor provided here.

My problem is:

Once I have finished editing, I cannot drag and drop my ff13-xx.dat back into the Xbox HD file structure.

I had this problem before using Windows Vista and 7. You could disable the UAC by sliding the bar all the way down and it worked like a champ. Now I have Windows 8 and the same fix is still not letting me drag and drop. All search engines related to the 'drag and drop' issue are for Win Vista or 7 and they all suggest the UAC.

I found my UAC control and slid the bar all the way down, restarted, and still no good.

Is there a work around that I can use to get my .dat file back into the Xbox HDD?

I have tried saving the gamesave to a USB drive, however the FF13 editor cannot find any game saves from the USB drive (all files are about 1 gig and have no extensions...)

I realize Xport is old and dated, but I don't know of any other options...

I'll try copying the .dat file to the USB drive and try loading it directly to the xbox that way, but I don't think that is going to do it.

Any help would be appreciated -

Have a good one

Move or copy your save from your Xbox to Usb.
Download and install Horizon : https://www.horizonmb.com/download
Start horizon.
Device Explorer >> Extract your save from usb and put on your desktop/pc.
Make a copy/backup of your original save.
Mod your extracted save with the save editor.
Close the save editor when you're done.
Go back to horizon.
Tools >> Package manager >> load your extracted save.
Save, rehash and resign.
Close package manager.
Inject your modded save back to usb with the device explorer.
Done :)

I'll be darned. I followed the instructions to the letter and it worked GREAT.

Thank you, thank you for the work around. This is EXACTLY what I needed.
