Fallout nv mod tool?

i have downloaded the mod tool for fallout nv but it doesnt work every time i open my save it asks me " are you currrently using the pitboy" and i have said yes and no. now and it pops up as an unhandled exception has occured in your application. and it doesnt load the file im wondering if anyone can help me with this please.

Also TC, have you modded (Hex) your save before. Because sometimes there's a wrong value on the save and can't be modded anymore.

My advice make a new game.

i dont know how to hex it just wont open up in the mod tool i wish i knew what was wrong with the mod tool im running it on windows 7 could that be the problem or do i need to do something else to make it work?

I'm running with the same wins7. Could be something on your inventory, a glitch in the save, could be anything. I could try to mod it for you if you want.

Also make you sure you don't have any companion with you when using the tool.

Those editors work for fallout new vegas for me did u try them so.. whatever try this one instead because all three work for me here u go :)

this is very upsetting for some reason it wont work for me i did what every one has told me and it says the same thing and doesnt open the save...... :(

That is is the best first post i have ever seen actually that was a lie :P but agreed with u post the problem :)

His problem was he opened the save file, may not have edited anything, saved the file, then tried re-opening it with out hashing the file again. I've had a problem like that happen. If you open a save, mod it, then save it, and say you forgot something. If you don't hash it again before opening it in the editor again, it gives you errors.
