Redbox's addition of games to its crimson kiosks has apparently been a success, with the company announcing today that it will expand the availability of games to 27,000 kiosks nationwide beginning August 1.
The company also stated that it has rented over 4 million PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 games since it began its game rental experiment in 2009.

The August 1 expansion means that approximately 5,000 additional kiosks will carry games, which the company currently charges $2 a night (plus tax) to keep. Find the game kiosk nearest you by heading to the Redbox site.

Whats the policy on those with games that have an online pass on them? I can hardly see people renting a game for a week or so and paying for a pass. Unless the pass system has temp codes for the time that a rental is included with said rental?

i would rather buy a game than renting from one of those redbox, especially if it is old games

the online passes dont even come in the games rented from your local store or through game fly. unless there is something im not aware of. the whole online pass is supposed to encourage people to buy new games and not used games.

Hmmm, I don't know about from where you live, but here in Hawaii all the RedBox kiosks I've seen are inside Walgreens or inside some grocery stores. We used to have people steal ATMs but they've a lot of the ATMs indoors now. With the exception of 1 Walgreens store, I've noticed these kiosks not near any entrance to these locations and have old games. I live on Maui but I'vebeen to the other islands and seen similar Red Box kiosks all over with the same set up.
