View Full Version : [X1] Fallout 4 PC Modding Port Service?

So with a lot of mods staying PC exclusive, would people be interested in a Mod Port service (free of course). I have ported a few mods myself, but keep them unpublished so Bethesda doesn't remove them and I can use them freely on XB1.

Mods I've ported so far:

Just a thought :) I don't condone to stealing mods, but if we aren't publishing them, I don't see the harm in it because it's for private use only.

this is a really cool idea , and according to bethesda fallout 4 on xbox has seen a higher usage of the mods than the pc version so i hope sooner or later they will let all of the mods over

Seems like a good idea i'm sure many would like this but i would only port simple mods anything demanding and i don't think the Xbox One will be able to handle it lol Can the Xbox One have Texture Mods? If so i don't mind you sharing some of mine i made

They can, there are a few map overhauls and better blood texture mods already for the game. However you can only have a total of 2GB size for X1. So if one mod is 500MB in size, then you only have 1.5GB left for other mods. Most high texture mods are huge in size.

Spring in the Commonwealth - Grass Mod (80.7 MB): https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4/mod-detail/945534
Enhanced Blood Textures Basic (213.0 MB) - https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4/mod-detail/916878

Do they need to be ESP format?

Do they need to be ESP format?

Ya they need to be .esp or .esm in order for them to work on X1. I had to convert my Dragon Eyes mod into a .esp for it to port over (I also updated the mod to have 7 more color variations).

Dragon Eyes: https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4/mod-detail/1542145

Watching Game of Thrones right now, after it's done I'll see about making them into a .esp for you. I'll also add all the helmet eye colors as a Armor Mod for the Helmet :)

Damn that was an annoying process for getting the Dogmeat texture into the correct format for uploading to Bethesda... I got it uploaded, just need to test :)

EDIT: It worked :)
