Epic Games Executive Producer Rod Fergusson announced today to the staff at Epic Games and the world that Gears of War 3 has gone gold. The arena at headquarters was filled with excited Epic staff members as Rod made the announcement. After the announcement was made, Rod had PR Manager Dana Cowley roll out the cake and he, along with Design Director Cliff Bleszinski cut the cake with a Gold Retro Lancer. The cake was a gift from Microsoft.
