Portal co-creator Kim Swift has revealed her latest project, Quantum Conundrum, a mind-bending first-person physics puzzler that is all about changing dimensions.

Now working at Dark Void studio Airtight Games after she left Valve, Swift's latest offering looks like another hit in the making, as it was designed to appeal to a much broad audience while still challenging the hardcore gamer.

In Quantum Conundrum, you'll play a role of a kid searching for his uncle, Professor Fitz Quadwrangle, after he's mysterious disappearance on his own mansion. You''ll be tasked to explore his enormous manor using a puzzle-solving tool called an IDS (interdimensional shift device) glove that lets you shift between dimensions.

Quantum Conundrum is slated for release on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Windows PC in early 2012. The game is published by Square Enix and will be showcased at PAX Prime this weekend,
