Thanks guys i dont really use my jtag much and never even knew about the GOD format lol transferring over now can not wait how is this game anyway is it what you expected or is it completely different to what the trailers shown ?

Could numerous people post numerous saves (extracted from STFS preferably) with current amount of cash (found on inventory tab) and XP (found on skills tab) for each posted save

the game actually gets progressively harder as you level cause the zombies level up to your level. I'm around level 7 and now half of the zombies are the charging/running and the thugs can one hit KO me.

I hope someone can figure out how to mod the Health.

There is no point in uploading a save without posting xp/money/level/etc. values.
The values shouldnt be lower than 500.

FYI if no one has looked at my save yet because I did not post values the save and folder are named with the two values of exp and money so it is easy to figure out.

The compression method of the save is an archive type (GZ, TGZ, GZIP).

its really easy to mod this game, open your save in con manager, extract confile, open con file with winrar extract this again and mod it :) hope it helps

Use 7zip. Just select open archive and drag and drop modded file into archive and it will overwrite old one.

I really don't recommend upping your level, at least for long. The zombies will match your level and your current equipment will barely be able to handle them, since the game doesn't employ armour or health upgrades your looking at being 1 hit killed, and some of them are projectile capable so do the math...
So your gonna want to either just mod the skills or load the game, get it to save then power down your level (should work through xp right?) hell might even work on just a number.

I hope you made i backup before using...

i found the pointer for money, but tried to use the same pointer for xp... worked for a few saves, but it seems not all :( i must use another pointer for xp.

maybe it's better if EXP doesnt work, at max level 50, you pretty much die from any zombie since you cant find any high level weapons early on

there are a few config files :) you can mod pretty much everything, but only for jtags.

I had a look at the archive in XLAST (Xbox and Live Authoring Submission Tool) and it was pretty interesting :P

Looking at the Data0, the values are plain open. You can edit how fast you regain health etc but I don't have a jtag to test and I am not going to burn more than 1 disc.

yes use God2Iso (http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/xbox360pc/isotools/God2Iso_v1.0.3.rar), then extract the iso with your favorite extractor.

It gives an error too must have been with the GOD2ISO part, I am downloading a extracted version of the game now.

Also for Skill Points, to find them we pretty much need the same character with a set of saves with different values for them right?

If so does changing your level give your the proper number of skill points.

not needed if you edit the bit 2 bits before exp is your level set it to what you want exp goes down to that level.

Are we sure this game doesn't have a repair checksum at least?
For me i can only make the XP go up and it completely rejects any modifications related to leveling down, im definitely changing the right offset because there's only one.
It might be its not overwriting the old arhive file or something but its still odd...
Money for example never changes even when the xp did.

Only repairs/rehash/checking I did was a veryify and fix with con file manager

^ In reference to 8Ball, I also ran into the issue where modding the level and xp up, you are unable to mod them back down. At least on the surface, things look that way -- I checked my Skills screen and it says so.

Take a look at the pic i posted a page back
If editing the first bit doesnt work edit both
First is level second xp should rank you down

Though you dont get any skill points anymore
If you have used them , shouldnt matter though
As most of us have jtag just edit the di/data/data0.pak
Unpack with 7zip and change skill/namecharchter_level.xml
Open In notepad and have a look should be doable
Then after edit drag the file back in the map in 7zip
And transfer to xbox.

Ill try to explain it beter tonight im at work
Posting from iphone got no data her with me now
But worked most of it out yesterday.

do it works with normal iso? i just get a copy of dead island XGD2 version. so it might can replace the file in the iso...

It might but as far as i know there are no xgd2 disks of dead island, havent seen any non jtag iso's in the scene.
then you still have the second problem file size , dev menu is out of the question that ads a file to the .pak wich changes the file size breaking
the signature .

i stand corrected seeing xgd2 disk is now avaliable , still dont think you can repack data0.pak without breaking the signature thus stopping modding the file
but i think its worth a try if you got the disks.

just mod a simple one without changing filesize then try one with dev menu in it so changed filesize it is atleast worth a try.
