Previous news about Need For Speed: The Run has made a big deal about the fact you can get out of the car (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/06/need-for-speed-the-run-lets-you-get-out-of-your-car-take-off-r/), but let's face it, being in the car will get you across the country much faster, and heck, it's just plain more fun. And when you're in a car, you could do a lot worse than a Porsche 911 Carrera S, which you can see in action in the video above.

The car is unfortunately only available in the Limited Edition of the game (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/02/need-for-speed-the-run-limited-edition-comes-with-trio-of-super/), which is available for preorder right now, and arrives with the title on November 15. That said, even when you're in one of these babies, driving it through the snow and curvy roads of the mountains might be plenty of fun, but can't really be recommended in terms of safety. If you're going to drive up there, it's probably much better to go in something much more practical. Something with four-wheel drive, perhaps.

i was really hoping that ea would make the run into a throw back to the nsf underground days now its looking like a sad attempt to bring the last two fast and furious films to consoles ..im still pissed at ea for saying no to t10 studios about porche in the new forza title

did anyone notice its using the same engine as battlefield 3 which will mean the graphics should be the best in the series.

Haven't really enjoyed a NFS game since Carbon. Like Cloud said, not been in the car the whole time is going to be weird but might just take the game in a much needed new direction.
