Premium package for WBIE and Day 1's horror shooter promoted with 3-inch naked statue of game's antagonist; comic, in-game item also in bundle.

F.E.A.R. 3's journey to retail has thus far been of the timid sort, considering it was given its second substantive delay yesterday. However, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Day 1 Studios won't be playing it safe with the game's Collector's Edition packaging. Today, the publisher revealed F.E.A.R. 3's premium-edition contents, with the most notable pack-in being a 3-inch collectible figurine of a naked, pregnant demon girl.

That demon girl, of course, is Alma, the game's psychic antagonist who appears at different times as a frightening young child and a young, emaciated woman. At the end of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, Alma is shown to have been impregnated by the game's playable character, Sergeant Michael Becket. Naturally, the figurine also glows in the dark.

They say all new mothers glow.

Beyond the Alma figurine, the F.E.A.R. 3 Collector's Edition has a number of standard premium-purchase perks. These include an exclusive F.E.A.R. 3 comic book, produced by DC Comics, as well as a download card for the powerful Hammer, the gun wielded by the original game's antagonist, Paxton Fettel. The Collector's Edition also features SteelBook packaging.

WBIE did not provide a price for the Collector's Edition and had not responded to a request for the information as of press time. For more on F.E.A.R. 3--which will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in May--check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

Never really got into F.E.A.R, is it worth it?

While that's fairly disturbing, I'm guessing it's part of the aesthetic of the game, yeah?

They are decent games, although you may want to try before you buy...

Is that a "This will leave your mind in a twisted wreck" warning? Or a general warning? I'm assuming it's a warning - it sounds like one >.<

Depends on your sober state and time of day you play really, FEAR 1 basically consists of you starting a mission with a full squad and them dying in the first minute, often before deployment, you then spend the missions walking around some fucked up places with the occasional mindfuck like rivers of blood etc. FEAR 2 she stalks you for a bit then basically forgets about you till the end where you are of course raped.
FEAR 3 is the court case where you show the judge on the doll where exactly she touched you while she is counter suing for child support.

FEAR is an awesome FPS series. If you like shooting faces and shitting yourself occasionally then you'll probably wanna give the games a try. Play the first game and if you don't like it then you're not going to like any of the other ones since they're made by the same dev in the same way using the same engine. If you do decide to keep playing make sure to play the FEAR Files expansion after FEAR 1 and before moving onto FEAR 2 - and be sure to play it at night in the pitch black when no one is around with either surround sound or headphones on (volume cranked to max of coarse)

I recommend wearing Huggies or better
