Need help Corrupt dead island save after 1.8 editor

Alright i had been modding with 1.7 then used 1.8 and tried to load the save and then it froze during the loading of the game. Ive been told it was corrupted and was wondering if anyone could uncorrupt it.http://www.mediafire.com/?9545dut4xc7d7e1 thats the save. Id really appreciate it if someone would fix it send me the link in a pm and also a virus scan i would scan mine idk how though this is the first time ive done this because this is the first time i posted a download. :( please help

Sadly true, you should always keep a back up of any save your going to be editing in case this happens.

Post your save on here and I'm sure someone will have a look and try to fix it for you.

You should have modded the file yourself. In my opinion, that's what I would have done, rather then use that tool, but there's no point in kicking yourself in the arse of mistakes.

I know this method works fine for uncorrupting profiles but I think it works for most other files as well:


You need JizzaBeez' (I think it's his) CON Flag Remover found here: CON Flag Remover (https://rapidshare.com/files/1986929437/CON_Flag_Remover.exe)

You will also need a rehasher which can be found here: Rehasher (https://rapidshare.com/files/1679775604/X360_CON_Hasher.exe)

And a Resigner. A stand alone resigner can be found here: Resigner (https://rapidshare.com/files/262621627/Resigner.exe)



Once you acquire said programs all you need to do is use them :P .... Meaning open your file with the flag remover and save it, rehash it with the rehasher, then resign it with the resigner.
This only works, of course, if the file is indeed corrupted and it's not your xbox just complaining.
