Gears of War 3 Save Editor - Renegade & Cybersam

[Renegade]

Okay..so this editor doesn't do much, other than edit your ammo, I may have plans to add a model swap feature or coordinate editor later (Like Horizon), But for now this is it, Moving on to the other project, This has no support for online play (coop) Reason being, I don't support online modifications at all..Enjoy.

[How to use]

- Extract checkpoint0.sav from your STFS Container file (GearsCheckpoint.sav)
- Open in the tool, Edit your ammo to what you want.
- Save the ammo, and then inject the checkpoint0.sav back into GearsCheckpoint.
- Rehash/Resign - Load and play.

This tool only has support for CAMPAIGN single player.

No offense, but I rather use Horizon. I always find their stuff more unique and well done; with a professional design. Honestly, this one lacks a lot. I was expecting something more. (criticism)

Horizon is good but its just like modio it was big when it came out but now its just nothing spectacular at all i say this because its just an AIO with editors and most of them are already free on the internet if you look but i do admit it has got a few good editors but i dont really feel like paying for the whole thing just to mod a few games once and then what ? i would rather wait here because people who develop stuff here are always free and they do it purely because they like helping others out this site may not be flooding with chatter but atleast we talk about modding related things and the developers pretty much have editors on the dot before the games come out AND if you request and editor for an old game it can quite possibly be made but for horizon you have to wait like a month and a half before it is even considered to be put into horizon and i hope all goes well renegade and cybersam it looks pretty cool so far especially for a few minutes work lol excuse the grammar http://www.360haven.com/forums/images/icons/grin.png

I'm not trying to be a ass but none of this makes sense to me.it's a weird thing with it loading the values, When i was noting down the values ingame, It was completely different to what was in the save (no idea why) But it was tested on numerous saves between the 5 acts before releasing, and worked every time on our saves, As for the obfusucated code, This was to protect the contents of the DLL.

Depends, In Horzion its 10000 but the actual value that you can enter in is 2147483647. Don't know if it will corrupt your save if you enter in 2147483647, but if you could try it and let me know if it works I would appreciate it.

The value that shows up in a hex editor is always 1 "clip" less than in game, 4 frags in game, but only shows 3 in hex. The lancers clip holds 60....

as the unlocked stuff i think is kept in the playerstorage file is there any chance of coming up with something that could unlock the skins and characters that you would have unlocked via beta, i played the beta and unlocked everything for the retail game that was unlockable but none of it has unlocked so i'm slightly pissed at epic for not setting it to save the info on their servers (i kept the save like they said but it still unlocked shit) i figure if it refuses to unlock i have a right to unlock it manually.

If your save is not opening up, then get another checkpoint and try again. The editor has worked for a handful of people.

Yesterday I achieve in 4 people (normal online match, not private) till wave 43... But it was really a pain in the ass... I'm only Level 6 in barricades... And it would be great if I can to mod my building skill level... The only problem is that I think it is a stat linked to Gears server so, maybe, it's a ban behind the corner...

3095The save seems to be bigger than it's supposed to be. Try getting to a new checkpoint and then use the tool.

Thanks a lot, I updated it and editor works fine, however after extracting my checkpoint in lefluffie and modding it and replacing back and rehash/resign in concept, it doesnt find my gamesave or continue. it would only give me a option to use a new chapter?

shoudl I use some other program to extract/rebuild?Download Horizon, or purchase Eaton's FATX Explorer. I personally use both and no issues so far. Some people use Modio, but to my experience, most of the time it doesn't hash the save properly and fails to inject.

Inside my "GearsCheckpoint" which I take off my hard drive I have a GearsCheckpoint0.sav, GearsCheckpoint1.sav and a GearsCheckpoint2.sav. I am pretty sure the different checkpoints are for the different in game campaign slots, the solo campaign is drop in drop out unless you change your settings to private, so this does not affect which save it is right? My solo and co op save were the same my Checkpoint0

No offense, but I rather use Horizon. I always find their stuff more unique and well done; with a professional design. Honestly, this one lacks a lot. I was expecting something more. (criticism)

Good job though.

Though I have Horizon Diamond as well, his is very useful. First of all, his is free. Everyone knows free is better then paid. Second, he didn't put anything up to mess with such a great online. Though skins and such don't effect online, except for looks, players will do anything to get ahead. He has good standards. Keep up the good work. :)

But I can tell you haven't seen your fair share of awesomely free editors. (leeching doesn't count)

Okay..so this editor doesn't do much, other than edit your ammo, I may have plans to add a model swap feature or coordinate editor later (Like Horizon), But for now this is it, Moving on to the other project, This has no support for online play (coop) Reason being, I don't support online modifications at all..Enjoy.



First I'd like to say thank you for this editor, and for all the work you put into it.
Second: Thank you for not adding multilayer editing to it. I hate online modders more than anything else, modding offline is all good and fun, but when you take god mode/no clip/etc online it ruins it for the others.
