While we're working on getting you a review of the console versions of Battlefield 3, we're in the same boat as many of you this evening: the Xbox 360 version is currently unplayable online due to server difficulties.
Developer DICE has commented on the situation via Twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/Battlefield/status/128968382677647362), stating that they're working on the problem and will have the game running as soon as possible. Hopefully the issues are resolved soon - we've got unlocks to, uh, unlock.

hence the disconnect from host problems i referred too . my point is i can still play . and no ten dollar fee on a used/rental . not debating one game vs the other as far as gameplay etc.. that is personal opinion . just wish they weren't so server oriented . sucks when all most people want to do ( multi) is down because of this . all the back and forth from EA and Activision is bs when you cant play .
* is co-op on their servers too ? you can still earn weapon unlocks from that .
btw , thanks for your work around here , using one of your progs now .

btw , thanks for your work around here , using one of your progs now .The BF games have always had a choppy Dedi-Server on the Launch week, due to the fact they don't expect so many people to buy the game, so haven't structured how many connection strongholds it would be eligible to.

They said themselves that they wanted to rival the cod series, you think they would've expected a large amount of people to play because of all the hype they put into it.

Base an entire video game off it's server going down? Yeah that seems logical.
This game's style of play is way better in my opinion, but I do like CoD as well.
You can't really compare the two because they have two different styles.
In CoD, all you have to do is camp in a corner and you can win the game.
In BF, they make the maps externally big so camping is useless.
If your a CoD Fan Boy, of course your gonna hate this game it's only natural that you do.
I stopped playing Black Ops because the way they run the server is unacceptable.
Lets connect to this guy and make the whole game lagging for everyone but him.
You can't say anything about BF3's servers when Black Ops have been shitty since it was released.

@kill_seth: Very well said. I hated that whole "Hey let's connect to this guy's connection and make everyone BUT him lag." Battlefield games are way better than CoD franchise, in my opinion. Plus the camping thing gets old and annoying. Plus BF has vehicles you can ACTUALLY control and drive around. Can't do that in CoD, although things like the helicopter take some time getting used to in BF.
