Designer imagines the next Xbox

Designer Joseph Dumary dreamed up this interpretation of the next Xbox console, which he calls the "Xbox Prestige."
It's slightly curvier than the Xbox 360 Slim, suggesting it's from the future. It also includes a built-in "KinectIn" sensor for menu navigation and to scan cards for purchased games -- buy the card, put it in front of the system, and either download it or play it streaming.

Inside the hypothetical console is a 2TB hard drive for storing those games, and a tuner for live TV. It is, in general, much nicer than the real system will be.

not bad, but lacking cool factor for me. and a built in kinnect might not be practical. what if you need to adjust the sensor? would have to move the whole xbox?

Would be nice if it was manufactured and released eventually but one would hope they would deal with the noise issue other consoles suffer from. As for the kinect sensor being built in, not sure I'd like that. A huge 2TB hard drive would be handy though.

it looks nice but i would like a dvd,bluray drive i dont like the idea of buying games to download or stream them (virginmedia=Capped). a kinect sensor built in would be no good to me as my xbox is low to the ground and i have a big coffee table infront of it. but i do like the look of it. i also dont care how m$ build the next one as long as it works good

2TB?! That's just ridiculous! While certainly possible, I highly doubt we'll be getting even 1TB as a standard HDD. The HDDs that are packaged with the console will probably go up to about 500GB. I think this guy is putting way too much hope into the next generation.

It is a nice design but I prefer functionality over looks so I couldn't careless what it looks like as long as it's better.

Personally i dont care about the looks, as long as it not a huge tank like the xbox one, and doesnt suffer from overheating like the 360 slim.

Very interesting concept, especially with the built in Kinect. However a scanner? I cannot see that as being a viable accessory. Almost seems janky.
