Stream over six million songs directly to your PS3.
Starting today Music Unlimited, Sony's Qriocity-powered music streaming service, will launch on the PlayStation Network in the United States and other key territories.
Music Unlimited allows users to stream more than six million songs from both major and independent record labels, as well as upload your existing music library with a cloud server and share across multiple devices, including the PlayStation 3, Bravia HDTVs, VAIO laptops, and, in the future, the PSP.
Pricing for the service will be broken down into two tiers: basic and premium. For $3.99 a month under the basic plan, users have unlimited access to ad-free radio stations, as well as the ability to create a number of channels personalized by genre, era, and mood. The premium plan, however, will be priced at $9.99 and give users access to all 6 million available songs for individual playback, as well as the ability to create playlists, mark favorites, and access exclusive stations and channels.
The service launched in the UK and Ireland in December and recently expanded to France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Today, however, marks the first time the service will be available in the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand.
