Love this editor it is so much fun. Is there any chance that the next update will include a complete beastiary option? It would be nice to be able to not have to use a librascope every time i run into a new enemy.

For what it is worth, you don't need the complete info for the achievement, you only need to have beaten the enemy once.
If you want the complete info anyway, you could add the ability kill: librascope to the two main characters.

is the unlock all roles option screwed up for anyone else? i ticked it so i didnt have to spend an hr on the crystarium menu but im missing alot of strength and magic that i woulda gained from doing it manually, few moves and spells and more importantly the capacity is fairly small :( other than that everything's perfect

Alternatively he can just manually hex edit the entries to complete the bestiary.
Btw Echelo/Genesis, any word on the accessories yet? (The missing passive abilities). And weapons for that matter too, since again, only the first passive ability is on them.

You need to first extract APP.DAT from your Save using either Modio, Horizon, 360Revo, etc. Either one of those works. (I prefer Modio Beta 4 myself, never had problems with it yet when modding FF13-2 Saves).
Next you have to decrypt it using Jappi's Save Editor. (Search the forums for his topic). Then open it up in a Hex Editor (HxD is what I use).
Then go to offset 0x58242 and from there replace everything with the value FF up to offset 0x58A84 (Don't go beyond that). It will give you every monster in the bestiary (100% complete & identified as well).
If you don't know how to do any of this, then feel free to upload your Save and I'll do it for you.

This just make the roles Saboteur, Synergist, and Medic available to Serah and Noel without using the crystalarium. So you can use the built in ability editors to mod their abilities without ever going to the crystalarium.
