Re: {Pre-Release} Silent Hill DownPour SE
Unfortunately it seems like it's more than a theoretical problem >.< Sorry about that. The game indeed "sees" the modded file, and the loading seems fine at first. However, it never ends, so I'm stuck at the "loading" screen forever when loading a modded data. When loading non-modded datas it loads normally. Here are my two "versions" of the file (non modded first, then modded); they have the same name except the second one which I've renamed (for this upload, so you don't have two files with same name to download) with an "A" before its ID.

@aos10: do your files read 20120301- by default or you have to rename them?

20120311224903_75 164 kb
and this weird file
tmpContent.tmp 708 kb
Re: {Pre-Release} Silent Hill DownPour SE
The "weird file" is the "Continue" file.
The others are loaded and named after the timestamp (partially, at least), so the last of the list is probably the last one (just assuming here).
Next time I game-over, I'll check if the save starts when I try a different value than 9999999etcetc. It's a bit suspicious to me that I had 48% health and the value wasn't the half of 99999etcetc, but started with "8". So maybe that's a number which has to be read in another way, and 999999999 may screw it up because it's not 100% health, but a value which can't be accepted.
Re: {Pre-Release} Silent Hill DownPour SE
I will change the max to 99999.....that should be enough
Re: {Pre-Release} Silent Hill DownPour SE
Mmh but my regular value was already 876097072 (48%) earlier, so the number probably must be something high too...anyway, I've had it for this game right now XD
I'm going to try some random values and see if I can get it started. If you want me to test some particular value, I'll be up for another while. Otherwise I'll call it a day after some random attempts :p
Re: {Pre-Release} Silent Hill DownPour SE
in the editor just put in 99999 and tell me if that worked thanks
edit. A couple of the last few digits really don't exist for the health yes I know its weird...but tell me if you die after entering that
Re: {Pre-Release} Silent Hill DownPour SE
I'll try right away.
Meanwhile, I've tried to rename my last file (I wanted to check what that looked like with 100% health I have on it). It said "loaded succesfully", but then the program crashed and I got a message which said something about a number having too high values. Unfortunately I can't translate that in English, because my computer is in another language =/
Here's the "clear" data (non modded) if you want to see that by yourself:

Re: {Pre-Release} Silent Hill DownPour SE
I'll check it when I get home hope then 99999 works
