OpCapita has offered to buy GAME
Attachment 6399
MCV reports that OpCapita, the parent company of the Comet chain of stores, has made a buyout offer for GAME Group.
Quote:
The offer apparently includes repaying all of GAME's lenders and suppliers - like Sony, for instance, which took a huge risk in supplying stores with Vita units despite GAME Group's lack of insurance.
GAME has been struggling in the face of administration since late last year, as problems with its credit rating left it unable to stock titles like Mass Effect 3, The Last Story, Mario Party 9 and many others. This morning, Nintendo confirmed that the chain would not be stocking Kid Icarus either.
This has led to thousands of cancelled pre-orders and widespread speculation about what would happen if the UK were suddenly left without a prominent games retail presence on the high street.

That's great, that means GameStation won't be going either. Otherwise I would lose the only games only shops around my area.
