All right I got the 1.2 editor to work, It was Dot Net, go to the windows update page and select custom not express, and after it runs look to the left for Optional updates, you should have several for Dot Net in there, the automatic updater will not download Optional updates only critical, reboot your PC when asked and it should fix the problem, it did for me. Also check Critical updates to, if you have Dot Net updates in it install them to. If it asks you to install WGA and you have and illegal copy of windows do not install it if you do not know how to recrack it.

Buddha, considering Idle is stopping his coding. Could you PLEASE update the standalone editor on this thread to the version that is in 360 Revolution. I prefer the stand alones without having to open an AIO THEN the tool I want to use. I would really appreciate it man, thanks.

Great Editor and for some of the people who are having errors. If you used the duplication glitch then you need to find the values in the editor that are marked with 0 and change to 1-64. Keep up the good work and cannot wait for the update to come out so I can finally use Pistons!!!

Re: Minecraft XBLA Editor
Is it normal for this to break your save? Modded mine last night to play with some TNT and today my save no longer works. Either crashes the program or tries to load the world as a brand new save.
Can no longer open the save to edit either - just says Complete and sits there.

Number 1 rule to modding: ALWAYS back up your save. Sorry dude, but I honestly think you lost your save. Mine did it and I couldn't do anything to change it even with it still opening in the editor. Probably just have to make a new world dude. Make you a folder on your desktop and before you do anything everytime, drag your save into that folder for backup then onto your desktop for modding.

Re: Minecraft XBLA Editor
I have a backup of the save - always do that. I only ask because I lost 4 hours and had found a lot of diamonds (the TNT ended up being useless since I didn't know it would destroy most blocks). Live and learn I guess

It would appear as 64, run all the way down, and then after you use the last one it comes back as 255, and keeps repeating once it depletes. My question is: Is there any way that you can do this in the editor? Can you mod our inventories to have infinite blocks? I could upload a save that shows one of the blocks as infinite to show you what I mean.
i did think about this but ecry time you load up you game again the item stops doing it and im finding you have to redo the glitch

Re: Minecraft XBLA Editor
I've been using this for a while now with no problems at all. I've edited my inventory on several different maps many times and it has always worked perfectly until recently.
I needed different coloured wool for something I'm doing on a map, so I used the editor to get the wool. It went smooth as usual. Then I came back later to add more wool in. Everything worked fine as usual... or so I thought. When I tried to load the game back up on my XBox, it froze out. I put my USB drive back into my laptop to look and see what my inventory was saying and I got an error message. Most of the inventory has changed to something random, some are blank, and item #23 in my inventory keeps resetting itself to "Air" and won't let me change it. Every time I move my mouse over item #23, this DataGridView error comes up. I'm unable to change item #23 "Air" in my inventory to anything else. I took a screen cap of the inventory and the error message.
Is there any way around this? Any way to fix it? I don't have any backups since I've never had any problems... and now my favourite map in which I've spent countless hours on won't load because of this program.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Re: Minecraft XBLA Editor
You could extract your savegame.bin file from your save(datetimestamp).bin file and edit in a hex editor. I suggest Hex workshop. You would first have to get savegame.bin into minecraft.exe(decompression toolkit from fairchild) and decompress it.
The id for Air is "00" so it would be tricky to search for it straight out. I would try searching for this
Hex value: "04536C6F7417020002696400 00 02".
That should get you to the correct slot "23" and item "Air. Then just change the id to "Dirt" id:"03". The Hex value will look like
Hex value: "04536C6F7401020002696400 03 02"
Obviously don't include the space I left in there, I did that just to highlight the changes.
If that doesn't work or you have other questions I'll try to check in on this thread and answer them for you.

Re: Minecraft XBLA Editor
Can you set Amount to 255? When i edit manual with a Hexeditor and i amount items to 255, i have in game 4 Stacks per Slot.
255 Items * 36 Slots = Total 9180 Items
64 Items * 36 Slots = Total 2304 Items
a Big Chest has 54 Slots
9180 Items / 64 = 143 Stacks / 54 = 2,6 Big Chests (rounded three chests if 255 Items per Stack)
2304 Items / 64 = 36 Stacks / 54 = 1 Big Chest

....and now with 8balls awesome little item helper it's even more easy to use.

Code:
1. Put as many items into your inventory as possible in-game then save and exit
2. Extract your save from your USB
3. Open your save into the Editor
4. Mod what you want and Save
5. Rehash/Resign your save and put your save back on your USB
6. PLAY!

This Error is nothing to worry about (it's annoying but doesn't really do anything). If you want to fix it then download this file and put it in the folder that it says it's missing from: http://www.mediafire.com/?mb7hmzicqgmvu4x

This is caused because the Editor sometimes doesn't display some items (Blank Drop-down box), to make it work, just change the Blank Items to any Item and the Editor will save. Attachment 7606
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Net Framework Error
All you have to do is install the newest version of .Net Framework (4.0): http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=17851
UPDATE v1.2:
Code:
- Fixed the Errors
- Fixed some spelling mistakes
BIG Thanks to fairchild for fixing the Decryption of the Save

every time i load my save it comes up with a blank sheet after it says it done loading my inventory and i have a full inventory of dirt in-game

It worked on last update haven't tried it since todays update. but it worked before today better then that 360rev stuff. I had problems using 360rev after creative mode, but this tool worked like a charm. Only thing missing is a item update to include more ids.
Edit; I just read recent posts but I have never had a problem with this tool. Make sure you have everything in one folder, including save. easy stuff

Or an enchantment list. That would be cool. I just got finished hex editing my save to mix and match some enchantment levels. It isn't so much difficult as much as it is time consuming, and a tool would work really nicely for that sort of thing.

Re: Minecraft XBLA Editor
I've been pulling my hair out with this. I've been creating a world for months now in survival, updated to TU7 hoping to use potions etc. but I can't craft a brewing stand due to not having any blaze rods and not having a nether fortress. This left me with 2 options, new world or mod the inventory. I've been trying to mod the inventory but to no avail, when I load the save game, it says "Reading inventory" then "Complete" but nothing shows. If I load other saves that I have, they load up fine. I would try to HEX edit it but don't know which values are what. Ive uploaded the save in question if anyone wants to take a look for me.
Cheers

Even with Creative Mode, I'm curious to see if this works still. I'm also going to try to putter around a bit to see if I can't get a saddle or two into my inventory so I can try to get the pig riding achievement. Then again, there are achievement editors out there...
However, as always, great work. Just discovered the Thanks button, and I will be using it more often.
