Re: Dragon's Dogma Modding - Full Save Editing
Hello, folks! I'm a lurker. I know who all of you are, but none of you know me. Bwa ha ha.
Anyway, I've been toying with this editor for a bit and managed to do everything I set out to do. Adding items, adjusting stat values, creating custom Master Rings, etc. - all within my capabilities.
Yet I can't seem to get appearance traits to change. I copied the appearance data from a previous playthrough to see if I could use it, and it doesn't seem to be working. I take notes whenever I do things like this, so here's my notes from my attempts to change the appearance data:
Quote:
Changed Main Pawn's gender to test carry-over of other traits.
---FAILURE. Unsure if properly implemented new save.
--Tested again, adding in Discipline Points to verify corrections.
--FAILURE. DP addition recognized; gender unaffected. Removed female-specific armor and tried same process again.
--FAILURE. Changed "mBustScale" to 0. Also changed a hair option for visual confirmation.
--FAILURE. Copy/pasted entire male [previous pawn data] criteria to test.
--FAILURE. Saved file ignores and maintains original data following save-over. Copied data to Main Character.
and manipulated Discipline Points.
--FAILURE. DP change recognized; no physical character changes visible.
I had tried to change the Main Pawn's appearance at first. I thought maybe there was an online flag that checked against that sort of thing, so I did everything offline. It's bizarre that it wouldn't work on my Arisen, though.
Anyone have any thoughts? I read all 72 pages of this thread and only one person asked anything similar to my question, and it went unanswered. I realize this thread has been largely inactive for a while, but I thought I'd say hey, and say thanks to everyone who contributed over the years.
So, hello! And thanks to all!
