Oh wow, really? That'd be great! I use this tool to mod my characters to be ready for legit PvP with all the correct stats in place. Not having to go back and manually change my HP and Stamina after having the ring of favour equipped will save me from accidentally cheating in fights with my friends.
For anyone who doesn't know how to set their HP and Stamina back to the correct values, visit http://www.mugenmonkey.com/darksouls and enter your stats into the boxes. It'll tell you the legit values to enter for the time between now and the new version that will supposedly fix this issue.
Edit:
Oh yeah, and anyone who is having trouble with broken equipment that can't be dropped, or usable items that can't be used or dropped, try picking up an item. Nothing you have 99 of, but try picking up any of the Soul of a Lost Undead items around Firelink Shrine, or the Firebombs. If you didn't mod humanity, you can also try picking up the Well humanity just by the bonfire at Firelink. I think the problem is that the modding tool screws with the sort order of the items when it inserts them into your game, resulting with, say, a consumable item that isn't actually 'classed' as a consumable, so that it can't be used or dropped.
Don't just drop your starting gear to fix this, either; I've found that the items and such only fix themselves after you pick up a new, 'fresh' item.

The item problem isn't about the sort order, though in v3.0.5.0 (maybe v3.0.5.1 too. I don't remember) that was messed up for any items beyond the first 255. The problem is that the save has the index of the last item, and if there are any items beyond that, it will be lazy and in some ways pretend they don't exist. The reason dropping an existing item and picking it back up doesn't work, is because that will create a free slot, then fill it again, which doesn't affect the index of the last item. Unless you have dropped something or run out of it, picking up a new item will generally add it to the end of the list, forcing the game to recalculate the last index.
I'm not sure if picking up a stackable item will do anything if you already have some, because that just increases the quantity of an existing item slot, rather than filling an empty slot.
As for the PC version, I may be able to make that work if people can give me some legit saves. I don't have the game, so I can't use my own. I will probably need about 3-4 different files, preferably with at least 2 characters each.

I can give you some PC save files. Does it matter what progress? Also I don't know how to create separate save files with fresh character slots unless you happen to know how. The one file I have has 2 characters on it if you'd like to see it.

That would be good. The progress doesn't matter. Only that it's a valid save that works. And I would assume that to make a new save with fresh slots, you would just move your current file to some other folder so the game can't find it.

Ah, thank you for a far more technical and accurate description of what I was observing.
But generally, picking up a new item that you didn't have any of before will fix all your stuff. It's interesting to see how the game works like this.
Re: [Remake][PC/Xbox360] Dark Souls Save editor V3.0.5.0
Ok, here are 4 PC save files with 2 characters each. Assuming Mediafire didn't dump them because they were "duplicates" (I made completely different save files), you should be able to work with this. If you only got one save file then I will just rename them so Mediafire doesn't see the files as duplicates. http://www.mediafire.com/?u220jhc6edpy2ab
