Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.1.0.0
Algorithm Tool V1.1.0.0 By Jappi88
About :
This is a checksum Finder / bruteforcer ... it means it will find checksum located at the specified file.
the tool has plenty of usefull feutures , such as search for checksums without knowing the hash or algorithm type ,
Quickscan for fast finding (simple Checksums), shutdown pc when the operation is completed .... ect.
there are several things that should be mentioned... like :
* "+ Position" Means it will advance the start by that specified value when its done.
* "Use Single Algorithm after result" Means it will automaticly set the default algo to the same Found hash Algorithm...(becuase most files uses the same algorithm in the same file)
* "Quickscan" is for fast scanning , it will find simple checksums located at the begin or end of the file.
* "Full Scan" Scans the whole file and searches for every checksum infile
* "Unknown Hash" Means , when its checked it will search for every hash located at file ... Takes a lil longer then a operation with the hash specified , and does not support all algorithms.
* Shutdown Mode , Will shudown the pc if the operations is complete.
* "Stop At first Result" willStop the operation if the first hash is found.
the tool support the fallowing Algorithms :
Code:
EAChecksum
ADLER16
ADLER32
Checksum16
Checksum32
CRC16
CRC16_CCITT
CRC16_CCITT_1D0F
CRC16_CCITT_FFFF
CRC24
CRC32
CRC32_Jam
CRC32_Bzip2
CRC32_MPEG2
MD5
SHA1
SHA2_256
How to use :
Simply open up the file , select the desired options , and hit Search... easy as that.
i think thats all bout it for now... Enjoy , and Anny Feedback / Bug reports are welcome.

* Fixed isseu where the tool stopped searching after the first try.
* Added Option to save the found checksum to a text file.
* Added Minimize to try.
* Added retries at the status bar , u can see how many times the tool will loop trough the file (depends on the +Position)
* Updated the logger with a more proffesional look.
* Optimized threading speed.
* Removed the Adfly , Useless.
* Alot of bug fixes.

Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
Nice work. Now people can stop asking me to find the shit lol
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
awesome work on this program Jappi :D
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
Nice work Jappi. Keep it up :)
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
Nice handy little tool. Good work.
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
Very nice job, now if we could only get this tool to work on Too Human lol :P

Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
nice job jappi also have you ever thought of making a encrypter/decrypter tool that will find were the encryption starts and what type of encryption

When it comes to encryption, it's way faster to learn ppc asm and reverse engineer the xex instead of scanning for each type of encryption with each possible key..
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
Wow. You better believe I'll be making use of this. Thank Jappi!
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
Updated to version 1.1.0.0 !
Check the first post for more info and offcource the new download link.
enjoy!
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
the new version looks very nice m8 gd stuff
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.0.0.0
so can this fix the checksum too ? can you make a button for fix the checksum that would be awesome !!!!

Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.1.0.0
This is a very nice tool and also it seems to be working with some games for the PS3 but not all of them.
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.1.0.0
Thanks for creating this tool, very handy for my PS3 games!
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.1.0.0
thx for this this reply os to get the annoying 91 day no post crap off i hope
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.1.0.0
On some games, there are checksums that aren't part of this tool like Zone of the Enders 1 HD Edition and possibly the 2nd one which uses XOR like this taken from BSD:
Code:
[DEFAULT:Save Slot 01 - Update csum]
set [csum]:0
set [csum]:xor(0,7F,1)
write at 0xCC80:[csum]
It also looks like there are some other checksums we haven't discovered as of yet but will take time to decode and decipher them.
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.1.0.0
Trying this out on my current project now. I know where the checksum is located, just not how to calculate it. Seems to be like other games by the same company where it is just a standard 8 bit checksum. Just can't figure out where it starts and stops adding them up yet.

Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.1.0.0
I'm waiting for a full scan on this Juiced 2 save, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I should be trying. Quick scan failed. In comparing 2 different saves, it looks like the checksum is 4 bytes right at the start of the dat file. There's a bunch of identical data after that. I used to spend a ton of time hex editing and comparing ram dumps to find gameshark/codebreaker codes back in the day. Never had to deal with checksums.
Re: Checksum Finder / Brute Forcer V1.1.0.0
Awesome. I waited like 5 days for a full scan on a Juiced 2 save and nothing. :(
