Re: Namco Bandai working on new Dragon Ball fighter for 360 and PS3
I loved all the Budokai, Tenkaichis great too, then I played Burst Limit. I was so let down and the Raging Blast came out and I was a little bit more happy with it, but still felt it was missing something. Raging Blast 2 was a lot better. I liked how it had just about every classic battle, but was kind of sad the story was gone, even though it's been the same store as all the others. What I really want to see in this one is a different way to get the dragon balls. Finding them in the levels is cool, but it's hard to look for them and best the opponent at the same time. I like how Tenkachi 3 way with the over world map I'd love to see that back again. Also I'd love it if this new one went through GT again.

Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi. It's gonna play like a cross between Tenkaichi 3 and Budokai; most of the gameplay looks identical to Tenkaichi 3, but there are also portions of a fight that turn side view a la Budokai, as well as struggles and Ultimate Moves being decided via GTE and/or button mash (also Budokai). The environment is going to be largely destructible and beam struggles will be on a very large scale and will actually look like the struggles from the anime.Giant characters will be included, but so far only as bosses. Japan's release date is set to November 1, US is set to October 25, and Europe is set to October 28.

It's confirmed (at least through the wiki) that GT characters will be in the game. If the game has a story mode (it damn well better!) we'll probably see the GT story as well. What I really hope they do is handle the characters like they did in Budokai 3. There was one Goku, one Vegeta, one Adult Gohan, etc. The story can handle the differences in timelines for each character via custom move sets (a la the Budokai and Raging Blast games); we don't need a separate Vegeta with a scouter, or a separate Vegeta for Majin Vegeta. The differences between the forms can be handled via items and transformations (Scouter is item, Majin is transformation). And for the love of God, if you include SSj3 Vegeta, make him a transformation and NOT a separate character! (The amount of Gokus in Tenkaichi 3 were ridiculous...)
