Re: Dead Island Riptide Editor
What is the difference between EGEN,
DGEN, and CGEN for the auto rifles does anyone know or is it based on their appearance?
Re: Dead Island Riptide Editor
I love this editor. i added a katana and mess around with the variables. Picking randoms numbers and levels and colors. I ended up with a katana with 0 everything lol. when you throw it you get to see on the ground it looks broken but it's on 100%. take that zombie.

HOWEVER, now that I've beaten the prologue and I'm at Chapter 2 I've picked up more items and such. I wanted to go in the editor and mod them to like 9999 or something so I don't have to scavenge much the rest of the game but the error as returned. This is on a fresh save file btw...so I dunno what the issue is here.
*EDIT* You know, now that I think of it... it's probably due to the DLC BBQ Mod you get after you get off the boat... if that's the case the only work around is to start a fresh character on chapter II because you obtain the mod right after hitting chapter I... ewww if that's the case.
dunno if this helps but one problem i used to have when modding DI1 was that the save could only be modded so many times before it would become unplayable, something about the transfering back and forth screws the save up, after modding around 3 times i noticed huge frame drops then finally a total game crash, this happened everytime i moved the save back into the editor more than 3 times, so i learned when modding DI1 to do it once and let that be it.. dunno if thats the case here but this used to screw up saves on the previous game.

I don't think that is the case anymore with riptide, i was able to mod my save dozens of times throughout the story(mostly to mod the amount of bullets in the guns i found).
But i did notice that unlocking all skills can have bad consequences especially if you use fury or group fury. I think it's because it gives you unique skills that the character shouldn't have.
Anyways if you chose all skills i would recommend switching back to normal legit skills and just max them out.
