With our modern architecture, Xbox One games will load more quickly, will be always accessible from the cloud, and there is no physical limit to the size or scope of the content provided.
Here are our platform policies and capabilities for game licensing – all of which will be made available when Xbox One launches later this year:
Buy the way you want—disc or digital—on the same day: You’ll be able to buy disc-based games at traditional retailers or online through Xbox Live, on day of release. Discs will continue to be a great way to install your games quickly.
Access your entire games library from any Xbox One—no discs required: After signing in and installing, you can play any of your games from any Xbox One because a digital copy of your game is stored on your console and in the cloud. So, for example, while you are logged in at your friend’s house, you can play your games.
Share access to your games with everyone inside your home: Your friends and family, your guests and acquaintances get unlimited access to all of your games. Anyone can play your games on your console--regardless of whether you are logged in or their relationship to you.
Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games. You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time.
Trade-in and resell your disc-based games: Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games.
Give your games to friends: Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once.
So they're enabling Publishers to have the choice of whether to charge the fee, which as I recall is what Sony said as well. ( http://www.360haven.com/forums/threa...ave-drm-games/ )

Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
its seems to me that Microsoft did this cause of all the flaming they were getting lol, still that is not the only reason i will not get a xbox one, many other features that i am not pleased with the xbox one, so regardless on what they do on used games i still will not be getting an xbox one

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a result of the negative PR, personally I'm more glad for the clarity (Granted there's still some holes) than the constant speculation from the game 'journalists'. The biggest drawback I currently see is the 'Login once every 24Hours' requirement, which I understand why it's needed for some of their new features, but it's still sort of annoying even if my connection is generally consistent.
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
Myself and my wife are reserving our judgement till the console comes out. I want to be sure if it is offline friendly, and also if the kinect always needs to be hooked up. We can live with the used game issue, we do not trade in our games anyways. Time will only tell if the XBOX One (and PS4) have done well with the consoles or if they have gone a bit to far from what a console really is, for games.
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
happy to hear they are going to drop the pre-owned games fee, however I am not going to get either system within the first year, so I will hold off on my judgement until I see both systems in action and get the better of the two for online and off line gaming (at this point it will likely be the PS4 because i simply don't want to use the kinect system, but we will see which is better).
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
esta genial va ser lo mejor este xbox one
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
I'm waiting for the day the 24-hour online check-in is cracked.
That will be a glorious day. So tired of all the crap restrictions hidden as features, that the mass consuming gaming public have allowed to enter into the gaming ecosystem.
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee

Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
i admit that was a glorious piece of PR spin. also it certainly makes sense then why this system is so online centric.
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
xbox one is still awful lol..but the weird thing is the gameplay i have seen of ps4 and xbox one look almost the same as the ps3 and xbox 360. i just want a new nba game and gta5
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
Interesting, they didn´t fixed this featured to make more money...So it will still be possible to buy the same game on demand with your friend for half the price and now it will be possible to do so with physical games as well
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
When it all comes down too it... they will drop half of BS on both consoles... MS will more than likely drop these hidden features... to play it offline...
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
I pre-ordered an XBOX One, because I strongly feel that by the time it comes out all the bs will be taken care.
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
I'm getting one. Already have it and the ps4 reserved and paid off. I let you guys know the scoop. Seems pretty cool to me. This is what you guys are forgetting. When games come out they are going to be $60. That may discourage you from buying most games on "day one" unless it is something cool or a console exclusive title or something. As more games release and time goes by most of those games drop and go on sale. You can pick up some good games at super cheap prices if you just look around sometimes. Xbox live stated in at E3 that you now can have unlimited friends on your friends list no. You guys are smart, come on. You know you can just add all your friends to your list and make a forum on this site listing gamertags. Add tons of people from this site and you can share playing games for 30 days like they say. Besides they are going to leave it up to some publishers to decide if they want the games they put put out resellable.
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
I'm sorry but i see people Hoping that Microsoft will see sense and sort their shit out.. Let me give you an example.. Windows 8, The biggest crock of crap OS I've personally ever seen, it'd rather go back to windows 98 than that rubbish.. point being they won't change a thing, they will simply try to put a "its a hip" spin on all their rubbish features to draw people in. I've had a xbox 360 and an original xbox since day one of release but the time has come for a change.. Ciao Microsoft My money is going to Sony :)
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
Pre-ordered the XBox One and BF4 (64 man server!!! xD) :D But honestly with all the BS (from microsoft) aside I personally think that X1 have a better online gameplay due to the cloud and the massive amount of money they've spend developing the online stuff....and honestly the last time I was this excited about a console coming out was back in the PS2 day
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
i just think after all the things that microsoft said about consumers i am staying away untill they fix it i will have my 360 but i will go ps4 route for now
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
I have both consoles and from what i see now, i think i might just go PS4 and will till my isp to give me a new x1 for renewing the contract. Hahaha

login every 24H hmm this is going to mess with a lot of people. Thx Genepool you are answering a lot of question that i had about X1
Re: Xbox One Used Game Details: No Platform Fee
