Well WTF why even post if your not going to share on how you did it. This is getting irritating everytime i figure out stuff i always try and share how i did it. so everyone can enjoy hell when i modded skyrim i spent more time modding peoples saves then i did even playing my own game.

I'm very interested in why as well. Even if it's a "I'm better than you guys" kinda answer, I feel like the answer is "we want this to be exclusive to 360 haven via a login secure tool" either way I'd like to know.

Re: Diablo III - Item Modding
you right IceMan , so i'll explain how i add 1 effect to my amulet , first thing i did , i modified stats and copy the new ones to my wordpad ( at this moment i had only an amulet on my DH , all my other stuff was in my chest ) , then i equipped another item with 6 affixes ( boots for example ) searched the new values added to my hero.dat.
i finally deleted 1 ID effect from the boots and added a new ID to my amulet , and it works.
I had 6 affixes before modding , and now got 7 , but when i tried to add another ID , my save being corrupted and i don't know why , looking for it now.
Re: Diablo III - Item Modding
i had this idea bcoz someone said if you add bytes , it will corrupt your save , so i decided so remove one effect id from an item and add it to another . -/+ = 0 change :)
Re: Diablo III - Item Modding
To make Items with more affixes.
Dupe yourself some black rings since they have the most affixes currently for a yellow item.
Craft any piece of armor, amulet, ring, weapon you want.
Keep only the crafted item and a black ring on your character.
Everything else in stash. Makes finding items easier.
Copy the Item ID from the crafted item your trying to change.
Paste and overwrite into the Black Rings Item ID.
Load the game on your xbox. Your black ring will disappear and you now have a item named black **** with the same stats/ affixes the black ring had.
Now you can change all the effect codes and put all the things you want on them.
This works on ALL yellow items.
I made some very odd stuff. Like 15 affix lvl 1 items with 980+ bonus exp per kill and tons of stats still. Some 28+k dps weapons. I am not sure how the weapon dps is figured out from a ring. item id. but it makes them each crafted one will have different dps on it.

I'm not entirely convinced that this is the answer to all our problems, but still.. That's really clever.
Good input!
Is things like that (I.e. Right in front of us but we just don't see it) that will solve the problem.
Re: Diablo III - Item Modding
still would rather wait for the editor! lmao
i carnt seem to do this hexing haha
Re: Diablo III - Item Modding
I've been reading these comments. I have no idea what I'm doing. Everybody makes it seem easy. I can't mod items, it's way over my head. So my question is this, when do you think the easy editor will be out so stupid people like me can avoid a brain explosion?
