see this is where the problem lies if they do post them and they are just as game breaking as idle's sword tehn there will likely be a patch (like bl1,2) causing everyones hard work to mean nothing. give it time and really read what is posted and study idle's pic and you can mody anything on D3
Re: Diablo III - Item Modding

Just send me your specific hero file .dat and tell me what you want.
Hope i could help some people here :)

Dupe yourself some black rings since they have the most affixes currently for a yellow item.
Craft any piece of armor, amulet, ring, weapon you want.
Keep only the crafted item and a black ring on your character.
Everything else in stash. Makes finding items easier.
Copy the Item ID from the crafted item your trying to change.
Paste and overwrite into the Black Rings Item ID.
Load the game on your xbox. Your black ring will disappear and you now have a item named black **** with the same stats/ affixes the black ring had.
Now you can change all the effect codes and put all the things you want on them.
This works on ALL yellow items.
I made some very odd stuff. Like 15 affix lvl 1 items with 980+ bonus exp per kill and tons of stats still. Some 28+k dps weapons. I am not sure how the weapon dps is figured out from a ring. item id. but it makes them each crafted one will have different dps on it.
This is absolutely true.
And really simple to accomplish with nothing more than a little practice.
I made this earlier today:

Ye thats just obvious though. That's not what we're trying to do by modding an item that already has extra bytes. We're trying to ADD bytes to an already existing item, not in this manner. For instance, if we had a Zunimassa's Helmet. It has X base rolls. We want to learn how to add more. Doing this is a sort of work around and if you try what you said with legndary items it changes the name to "Black". Also, then using this you can't delete any extra bytes you wouldn't want to use because it would corrupt it.
People know, they're just being elitist jerks (for something that doesn't even matter).

To be fair, I'm pretty sure the reason they're withholding that information is out of fear of people making items with hundreds of affixes and lagging out/crashing/corrupting games/griefing people, etc.
