Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6
I don't know if you noticed but when you edit equiped or items form inventory (except items from stash) sometimes equiped items might get unequiped and if there is no space in inventory for all unequiped items some items might disappear from inventory so before editing your save i would suggest to (always backup and before editing unequip items or edit items from stash)

One of the major reasons, I personally have found, is that if your game save is not rehased and resigned after saving it will corrupt.
Also I noticed using the Arcane damage affix usually corrupts my saves. Hope this helps.
I myself had problems initially as well. So I experimented with different extract/rehash-resign/saving techniques. And have one that has worked perfect every time since. I'll explane how I do the whole process start to end and this should clear up a lot of corrupt loads and missing items after loading back in.
Firstly. And can't stress this enough. Keep your files organised and by them selves. After a couple saves you are going to start building up on .bak files. I suggest you don't let this happen at all. Try to keep just the current .sav file and ONE .bak file (newest one) on your work space at any given time. Trust me it helps. Will stop you from loading the same corrupted file multiple times.
Modding Process:
Don't use the built in device explorer. Use Horizon or similar to extract the .sav
1) Extract the .sav file.
2) After it's extracted DELETE the .sav from your thumb drive.
3) On the editor click "file" then "load". Load the extracted file in the editor.
4) Edit only ONE item at a time. When editing, (adding affixes ) just add one type at a time and click ok. Then click "add" again and repeat until you have added all that you wanted or can. Don't add 5 diff affixes at one time to multiple pieces.
5) When that ONE piece is to your liking. click the ok button.
6) Click file/save. And let it create the back up file (d3save.sav.bak)
7) Drag the save into Horizon and click "Save to Device." DO NOT USE HORIZON TO REHASH/RESIGN THE FILE. Just save it to device. When you save the file in the editor it does that part for you.
8) Load the save back up in Diablo 3. And thats it.
Not sure if its just an issue with Horizon or what. But ever since I stopped using it to rehash/resign again before saving it to device I have not had a single corrupt/missing item save file since. And this is after about 20 different mods. And I also had issues using the D3 SE's built in device explorer to load the .sav before modding. Thats why I do it this way now.
And remember to keep the work space clean. More files in the area the more confusion your going to have when you DO get a corrupt file and need to find the .bak in a pile of 20+ icons lol.
Again, this seems like a lot of work. But once you do it like this a few times it gets faster. You get used to it. Also before you open it in the edtor you can make your own backup as well and keep it in a different folder. I do this because the editor doesn't always automatically create one for you when you save the file. Better safe than sorry lol.
Anyways. Try it out a couple times and see. Hope this helps some of you out and good luck!

This tool is incredible. I just purchased VIP & I'm looking forward to being able to donate to you more in the coming days. I have bipolar disorder & schizophrenia as well so your cause really hit home with me. I appreciate your hard work on the editor & I hope that you & your brother are well rewarded. Best of luck to you.

Oh yea I did forget to add earlier that rehash and resign more than once, it will corrupt your save.
Of course this has been said many time before. I guess I was doing what you had just said and that is saving it in the editor then rehash/resign in Horizon and that was corrupting my saves.

I have been able to edit my entire set of armor and weapons at one time.Make sure you click the ok button after editing also. As long as your not sending it to stash after editing or your item could disappear. This happened to me. And of course back your saves up.(make a copy)

Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6
I'm on ps3 and editing items just corrupts my character. changing paragons and adding items don't though...........cleared out my whole inventory to see if that is what was wrong

Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6

Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6
after much trial and error I somehow got my paragon to change mysteriously and I edited items without a corruption. I think the key was having an empty inventory. although my edit items disappeared. crafting materials i made max quantity did work. I give up on editing items though.

Yeah I kind of gave up too. I tried telling Jappie but I guess he thinks I'm just doing it wrong. I know I'm not the only one but every time I post I can't edit legendaries some guy comes with a message" works fine for me on ps3". I've only had maybe 2 legendary weapons show up in my inventory after adding it from database. 2 out of 70 tries its worked, an oculous source and a hellfire ring. If I edit existing items instant corruption.

Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6
I have a question for Jappi88, Is it possible to edit/mod gems?? I've tried modding/adding affixs to them but I'm not sure it does anything. I guess I'll do a little experimenting myself to see what happens. :)

Just went and tried it and it seems to work now. Not sure if Jappi fixed it or if your computer is giving you fits on your end. Best of luck.

Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6
probably added mods to the dye same as how some added them to gems I would guess. try modding the rare yellow mojo is what I did was easier than building one from scratch

Re: Diablo 3 Save Editor V1.0.0.0
Awesome tool, guys!! Works mostly great! Only issue I seem to have, is with the stats. For some reason, it says that the block for each stat isn't found. Granted, I'm not really concerned with that, as I haven't modified any characters level, but still. I just wanted to let ya know of the one and only bug I found :P Again, great tool and many thanks!!

It's not a bug, with the 1.02 update Blizzard removed the stats from the save

I'm not the foremost authority on the subject, but I believe that's an outdated area because Blizz tied the stats' code to somewhere that's either inaccessible or really hard to access.
EDIT: Aaah, rpgfan36 beat me to it. Granted I was reading from pg 103 for the first time, lol

Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6
So far works great. PS3 here. I've added items normal and modded ones, increased levels and gold, increased quantity of mymats, but have not edited items already in my inventory. The main issue I had was user error with brute force. After editing my save file and closing the editor, I would forget to refresh the file in brute force before I encrypted it. Which would just encrypt and save the original that was already in brute force.
I wish I only had more time to sift through and help edit the affixes.
Also I have the digital download of Diablo 3.

Are you sure? Because you can add effects to source on PS3...I did that as late as this afternoon. The effects include damage ones.

Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6
Ok so I edited some lower emeralds and I added damage affixs like Holy dmg and Poison dmg. Well it worked. It showed up in the inventory. I will continue to experiment further. :P :)

Re: [Xbox360/PS3]Diablo 3 Save Editor V2.0.0.6
I'm seeing a lot of posts where people are having trouble modding their PS3 diablo 3 file, so I thought I'd share the steps I use. First of course you need to copy your save to a usb and then copy that save to your pc. You'll need a program called bruteforce that you can download . Once your save is on your pc,copy and paste a backup then open bruteforce click refresh, select your save in the top section by clicking on it and select decrypt pfd in the bottom section. It will do its thing then when its finished open the save in Jappi's editor, selecting load directory. The directory and save you want to open is BLUS31188-autosave. Once opened in Jappi's editor you can edit it to your liking. Once you've finished editing it save a backup to another folder. I call mine d3p3timeanddate where the time and date thing is the actual time and date I created it. You then go back into bruteforce and click update pfd. updating the pfd will encrypt it as well. Copy that save back into your ps3 save directory on the usb, transfer back to the ps3 and you should be in business. If anyone is still having problems let me know via PM and I'll try to help. Enjoy the game.
