TUTORIAL on hex editing Assassin's Creed 4 money
I just found this video of someone showing how to do it. I always thought the money was represented by "F5 00 (your hex values)" and a random hex possibly in your values, but apparently it's represented by "1D (your hex values)" also with the possibility of a random hex. I have not tested this so please if you try this post if it works or not.
EDIT: I have found the values of my money in a HxD, but they are not represented by "1D", but by "F5 00". I am starting to think peoples games may be different, plus the title update change the values so sometimes I can't even edit all 6. - Ex: F5 00 25 9B 01 (this is $105,253) this is what my money used to be. But know it will show up as F5 00 25 9B 0C and if i even try to change the OC to FF, it will not work. So I am only able to change the first 2 hex numbers "25 9B" to FF FF

I just tried this and yes it did find my money, but it wouldn't stick when the game loaded. My Xbox didn't freeze either so it wasn't corrupted.

So they applied the same principle as with AC3... "1D" with the money.
And yes, the random hex number appears the moment you break 65535 gold if I remember right from AC3.

I changed mine from 150,253 to 16 million (FF FF FF) but it wasn't 1D, idk if the update changed it cause I did mine right after I downloaded it but my money was after F5 00.. Once I got to 105,253 (25 9B 01 reversed) and put it into the HxD and searched, it only showed the first 2 hex numbers and added a random 3rd, so it looked like F5 00 25 9B 0C. I changed 25 9B to FF FF and in game I then had 131,071, so it worked. I then got my money to 132,656, put it back in HxD searched my money and it showed all 6 actual values - F5 00 30 06 02. I changed them to F5 00 FF FF FF and in game I had 16777215. Idk why the random was there but yeah it worked this way for me

When your search for your money u have to search it in reverse so if your money is 00 25 9B 0C so you search 0C 9B 25 00
