For some reason I can open the save and I get an error and press continue. After that I can't seem to save the values I have changed. I have a PAL game.
Guys I am attaching my save here for you all. maybe its some drivers in my windows I don't know. Could you please edit it to max out all values and send it back to me, I would appreciate it greatly.

Actually the source save file must NOT be in the same folder as the .exe of your program and that's probably his issue. I had the same error because by trying to do that, your program wants to open the file and copy it to the same location, then work on it so it's locked by your program really. You may want to tweak that or write it down as a notice.
Maybe copy and work on the file in a newly created output folder or something. I know it just delays the issue until a bright user decides to load the file from that newly created work-folder but at least the initial confusion is avoided.

What I really came to say is thank you for the editor! This is quite an ambitions project.
cos_ka08 is Siegfried, a garb which is on-disc but is awarded only to those who played and uploaded a score online in the demo. I guess many will be interested in knowing that.
The other two on-disc rewards classified under the otherworld rewards menu are gained from having save files of FF13 and FF13-2. Normal downloadable content garb and gear don't have models on-disc so those may not appear when selected.
Now only if there was a way to inject new items and not just replace them. ;)

The GP in that save is 499999, that is what is causing the error. Somehow the save was edited previously. I may allow the value to be edited so high, but the game will reset it back to 9.
I sent your save back to you in a pm. It should be fixed now.

I'm almost done with the game, but it will be a day or two longer before I get all costumes. There are I think 10+ costumes that can only be obtained in NG+ / Hard mode, and by this one Rare Armor Vendor which I cannot find.

I have my never modded legit ~90 hours hard mode new game+ JP save and it works on the pal version.
- From your outfit list it has 71 outfits and is missing 26, one of them is ka08 which is Siegfried as I already said. It has all the outfits from the secret shop too, including the hard mode specific one and some dlc, 4 samurai sets, yuna 10-2, aerith, cloud, divine wear, ultimate savior, moogle lover. these are not ondisc so they may not appear without the dlc files
- It has 12 item slots. Stats like GP and item capacity increase when redoing the approriate quests in ng+.
- Decorations...all that could be bought from stores and I did almost every sidequest and microquest in the first playthrough so it has almost all decorations. 3 are still unredeemed in the barter shop from achievement rewards.
- accessories - should have most if not all...
- Some outfits and some accessories are upgraded versions. When you get the same accessory in a ng+ it's stats get boosted and the name of the item changes, a plus sign is added
all 3 main schema are dlc so if you don't have any...that can be 'fixed' hint hint
Some of the regular hardmode outfits I'm missing can be found in the shops, like in yusnaan but I don't have them in my inventory because they are too expensive so you can mod the money and buy those outfits also to bring the number above 71, the game is already in hard mode, I got astral lord from the hard mode secret shop along with everything else he has so just the common stuff is left. I followed a wiki while I was playing so this save should have all outfits which are quest rewards, there are just a few left in common shops and one for geting all achievements. I doubt there's anything more complete out there right now.
edit: that's quite a lot of downloads. This save was meant for research, it's not in a public-ready state for common sharing, heck it's in the middle of the game. I should have sent it in a PM in the first place. Removed since the relevant people got it. I'll prepare it for the public next time I play and then reupload....
edit2: uploaded for public use, start of ng+ with all the stuff mentioned above

there is other problem i found it just now
whene you MOD your save and load it in game, and then you save agian in which place in game
then you try to MOD this save it's give you error in program, even if you make a new save or overwrite
but if play game from beginning and save the game, the program will MOD the save without any problem
i can't now MOD my save :(

decrypted
opened basic save editor
comes up with "unhandled exception has occured in your application" stuff.

So when you put the ep points over 9 it resets to 0 when in game so basically that part of the editor doesn't work? trying to use the points on the slow time in the world to give more time doing side quests etc

9 is the max. The save editor has nothing to do with the game's HARD CODED GP MAXIMUM.

Just open ff13-XX.dat with the basic save editor, it handles APP.DAT extraction + decryption + editing + encryption + APP.DAT injection + resigning. ITS ALL IN ONE.

Hey man, for the GP you should put in the writer code that if the value is higher then 9, then it writes 9, instead of the higher value. That will stop the game from resetting it to 0 :) It will also still allow people that have the GP modded to a higher value to load their saves into the Editor without any issues.

its my first time here, maybe I made something wrong??
I used my USB Flash drive to transfer my save game from my xbox to my pc.
I used Horizon to extract the save game "ff13-00.dat".
The save game is in an other dir das the editor but I always get this error while opening:

Ok, it seems my save game is corrupt, sorry guys :)

Ok guys, I'm working on a fix for GP/EP. The next build it should be working nice.
[UPDATE]
v0.19 is ready and should fix the GP/EP issues.

Definitely looking forward to this. I do have a question though. From the 11 pages I've read, it seems to me that all I need to do is transfer a save to my pc, open with editor, modify and return to 360. Is this correct? No other programs needed? I apologize for my ignorance and appreciate the help.

Does anyone know the Weapon and Shield ID for - Ultima Weapon & Ultima Shield?
These two items can only be used at the end of the game, but I'd like to play through the game with them. I don't think it would be a problem to replace some low level weapon/shield for it...
