can't wait to try this.
umm in the accessory editor theres no save changes button so theres no way to save the ones you add. also are you going to add the name of the weapons/shields/garbs/accessories in the next update?
I can't wait for the in game timer to be edited into it :-D I like to take things really slow and figure things out, I'm already near the end of the timer for the first day and I haven't even seen the full map of just the first world :-/ I feel slightly ashamed of myself lol.
The editor works good so far. Great work.^_^
I tried it on my modded PS3 which has the EU version of the game, it works but thats just the basic functions and I'm not sure if it works on the US version. you need to have the final fantasy XIII encryptor to encrypt your ps3 save and set the editor to ps3 mode so you can use it.
Thank's for your work, You are fast.
This will make the game better.
Unlocking costume is the feature i want the most (with max gil)
absolutely flawless
Thank you!
Save file and Editor in seperate files... Got it.
Take the whole save file and mod, tool does all the work... got it.
GP not over 9... got it.
I dont remember all the repeat questions but this seems simple enough.
(Sorry, dont mean to come off sounding rude... just used to forums and such.)
Anyway, I havent used the editor as I have not got the game yet, but it looks amazing. That being said, I have 2 slightly different questions.
1. Are you going to use this thread with the final build, or a new one that is not called Alpha, but rather Release? Just want to make sure I can keep watching here.
2. Is there a list somewhere either you have, or may have used, to locate Item ID's and which bit of gear or item they represent? I did a quick google search with no luck. Or are you planning at some point it saying the name of the gear or item instead of ID?
I like how thorough this editor is, and am excited to see how far you go with it.
If editor have real names of weapons, shields would be better :-))
PS. When use weapon editor some of items have wrong effect in game - when change weapon then in game one hand have weapon and other hand have weapon in place of shield!!
Anyway it's nice editor :-)
Somehow the download link doesn't work for me..
Anyone can fix this for me?? Thx guys
Nice Editor about to try it out just got game !!
thanks good work:049:
one other bug in this editor is the HP. I don't edit it at all and everytime i start the game back up it keeps raising my health 2000+ everytime for some reason. and lower the health in the editor doesn't seem to work.
I'm working on Compiling a list of the Costumes(Garbs whatever you wanna call em.)
So far this is what I have.
I will add more when I get to it x33
EDIT : Added GA Section
EDIT : Added FA Section
EDIT : Added EA Section
EDIT : Added DA Section
EDIT : Added CA and BA Section / Added Ultimas to Unique.
awesome, i cant play this game now, i buggered my pal xbox360, using a trainer, from this website (sigh)
:/, does this save game editor work for uk pal consoles, when i get mine fixed
Excluding zz99 and lig_00X which are incredibly odd considering the rest of the codenames, all the other ones add up to the expected DLC amount, zb0-6 probabbly being the 7 Samurai sets, the rest Yuna X, Yuna X-2, Cloud, Aerith, Moogle Lover, Divine Wear, Ultimate Savior, Tomb Raider Lara.....yeah and FF13 which is a save reward on the disc. All the DLCs come with a garb, weapon and shield though so that needs to be identified too. Those won't appear ingame without having the DLC because the model/information is not on the disc. Echelo was supplied with all but two for now, missing Lara and one samurai garb - Utsusemi. The IDs are for the DLC though, I didn't hunt them down but they do appear on my save. Regarding ka_07 and ja_07 which appear in the regular garb order...well, don't know what to say to that.
I obviously don't know how did he generate the list, but there are several models of lightning in the game's files which are somewhat copies of the original outfit probably used for cutscenes or something else, those may be the lig_00X models but I'm just guessing, and here's why. It is highly unlikely they'll announce any other new DLC because the japanese voice pack for the english game is already out and it converts the voices of ALL dlcs into japanese too (all DLCs have additional sound files). Releasing more DLC after that could become a problem because they can't just leave it half-localized and they're not dual-packing audio into their DLCs, they never were in the past either. Asian source DLC comes with japanese sounds only, and western source DLCs with english only with the possibility of japanese voices through the special voice pack. While the contents are not there, screenshots of all the DLCs are already on the disc so they were planned ahead and taken into account. That is the reason why I think we know of all DLCs and that the extra stuff is either a model on the disc or a dummy.
There are many throwaway things, they even kept the user interface graphics of the first game's Titan Trials with all the monsters which don't even exist in LRFF and tutorials for 13-2 among the files....
If you need a FF13 save, resign this for your profile (includes a FF13-2 save too) :)

Well done. Your efforts are greatly appreciated
Thank you creator and also thank you rhopoi for the ps3 explanation..
awesome editor , keep up the good work :D
How do you get to the other parts of the editor? Only see status? or is the others only Xbox only?
hey can you edit in the dlc costumes with this was wondering if it was disc based dlc
nevermind i read the above post
As long as people find use in my post and give me the names of the garbs to replace the ????'s I'll be happy!
Also I'm kinda curious. Since the data appears to be on the disc, anyone know if the DLC Garbs / Pre-Order garbs downloads only put something on your gamesave like a T/F value to say you've unlocked it and can purchase it? Or get it?
Kinda what I thought. But confirmation would be nice :3
By using the save editor you're doing exactly that, forcing it to show that you have a DLC garb by adding it's ID but the game can't load any data for it because it can't find it so it writes you some generic unknown text and other garbage instead.
DLC actually isn't tied to the saves. You can take out the DLC files and the game won't complain upon loading, it will revert to a standard garb if it was in the active list and won't leave traces of dlc which is good in a way if people want to share saves - the game won't complain about any missing DLC. So it seems they treat DLC like any other garb only sorted in a different list, the barter shop instead of an ingame merchant...which is kind of understandable since they already built them into the game, left the identifiers on disc and took the data out to sell it.
Also I just went through the missing garb list of my japanese save. ka_07 and ja_07 aren't missing so they are normal garbs which I acquired by playing. I know it's not much help lol, but at least you know it's actually there somewhere.
Oh, ka_07 ja_07 ca_07 ba_07 don't exist, not that they don't appear.
I misunderstood how "missing" they were and since they weren't on my list of missing garbs I assumed they're there. I didn't count them the first time because they're not there, I recall now after I reopened the save in the editor. :D
Here's the thing. You're missing two regular outfits, and I narrowed them down to 4 IDs. There is also another ID which is problematic. The rest are OK, if you paired them up right that is. :P

Carnaval Crusher - secret shop after day 9, any difficulty (only Astral Lord is hard mode secret shop locked)
Woodland Walker (can't recall origin...original color is green camo)
cos_ca05 - Candy Raver
cos_ca04 - Candy Raver(Again? Odd)
cos_ia03 - Dangerous Blossom
cos_ja03 - Dangerous Blossom
These 4 IDs I have, and I have only one of each garb you mentioned, so Crusher/Walker are among these duplicates.
Aesthetically, Woodland Walker shares the same base as Candy Raver which is all a variation of Dark Muse so it explains why they are all CA, now it's just a matter of 04/05.
Carnaval, I would bet on ja03 because the whole JA line shares the same base, I know how each of those look without the game running....and it just hit me, the Dangerous Blossom is indeed in the Heartstealer line of IA. You don't even need to test that, rename ja03 into Carnaval Crusher.
cos_ea03 - You identified it as "Blue Mage"
I Don't have this ID in my save but I do have a Blue Mage. Probably the one you doubt - cos_ea02. So ea03 is either a duplicate (unlikely) or a yet unknown garb.
The rest is all on account and appears good. For the full comparison analysis check the PDF, but I already wrote the most important parts here.
I guess you were manually modding back and forth to identify all of this...that's some hard and awesome work. I hope Echelo saw the post, page 18! :D
Excluding DLC it'll be the complete list after the two needed garb changes and one... re-identification.
zb_04 is Utsusemi (one of seven samurai dlcs, all zb_0X)
Awesome Editor! Great how quick you got it out and working so well too! So many features already. I look forward to the final tool and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say thank you for your time :)
Also, I know some of the older FFXIII editors just left item names out so I'm curious: Do you plan on leaving the item/equipment names the way they are or filling them out w/ their actual in-game names?
i just found this thread for the save edito, but when i try to load my save from my 360 i get handling error. what do i need to fix this?
That was fast o.o, thank you!
OK. This is uber cool, many thanks!
Thanks a lot sir <3
Great work many thanks :)
everytime i used the v19 it gives me an error saying " 'Value' of 21 is not valid for 'Value'.'Value' should be between 'Minimum' and 'Maximum'."..can someone reupload the v18 plsss(mine got deleted)... 'coz that one really works for me.
So to edit the garbs to your slots you have to replace one that you already have in a slot with one of the ids of your choice? you basically can't add them to an empty slot?
thanks
so this one isnt work correclty? well i will it and thanks for the editor :)
nvm found it
thank you, but i guess i need to finish this game first and gonna try this later :040:
ok so i use jappi's tool to decrypt my save then load it into the save editor, turn ps3 mode on, add max gil (thats all i want to add) save it,( at this point i cant encrypt it saying the file integrity has failed) take the modded save from the root folder copy that into the save on my usb put it back on my ps3, start up the game, go to load the save and it tells me failed to load..............what am i doing wrong plz help :(
alright so this is a pretty sweet and convenient tool....so many thanks for it.
But just curious how to operate it. I'm using it for ps3 ff13-3.
First, i decrypt it using Encryptor by Jappi right....then i open it with the save editor (with ps3 mode selected first)....once i edit my gil to 40,000 (without coma) and save, i get a separate app.dat file....so from there what do i do?
I tried to finish up by encrypting the original app.dat first, then just copied and pasted the new one over it, but that still didn't work----when i opened my save file in BSD it says its region is JP (but i live in North America lol), could that be why?
any help is appreciated!
