The editor currently can't add/modify your current inventory of "Other Items" or "Key Items" (Some items from Dead Dunes for example like Pilgrim's Crux are required multiple times, so having more than one of those would instantly solve that issue).
Ok ill try to find those.. And this updated editor lets me open my save now but i still get the "MSVCP100.dll" popup box though.
But if i just x it out it actually shows the numbers in the boxes, So im guessing i can start modding that stuff now.
This is the first time i've gotten the editor to work so i dont know where those slots are but it wont let me access any of the "tools"
everytime i try it says "APP.DAT not detected, please open a save file first" Would you be able to help me there?
Also, idk why but the numbers in the boxes ( HP, ATB, Gil etc ) the numbers are very high and different from what you modded for me.
the Gil is over 100 mil. So im guessing something is still not correct with the editor on my part it seems to be working fine for everyone else.
But yea, Any ideas on what i can do?

Download:

Install both, see if that fixes the error issue.
The APP.DAT error is a bug with the 0.22 version, it seems it's trying to read APP.DAT from the same folder the Save Editor is in... but the APP.DAT is now located inside another folder (created by the Editor). So to fix it, just copy APP.DAT to the folder where the Save Editor resides. But I recommend just using 0.19 for now until the paths are properly fixed, because this is too much moving around with the APP.DAT file, and I honestly don't know which file it actually modifies, or if it even properly repacks the Save File now.

Re: Lightning Returns Basic Save Editor v0.22
I made a list of everything that I know for item names for Other Items, Components, etc. and what the name in game of the item is. I hope this helps for people that are decrypting their APP.dat files.
For an in-depth tutorial at how to hex edit your APP.dat file for Lightning Returns, please refer to Ryudo's amazing tutorial here.
There are codes that are in red because I'm not sure what the code is for the item, either because I used the item already or because I haven't gotten to that stage in the game where it is applicable. If anyone has anything to add to this list or to change, please let me know!
P.S. Thanks to Ryudo for unknowingly starting me on this list making. :-c
Other Items - Found in my save at 000236E0
Components - Found in my save at 0001DEEC
Key Items - Found in my save at 0001E97C
Note: these are not all the key items, just a few that I noticed I needed several. This is not a complete list either.
Recovery - Found in my save at 0001C56C
Note: I guessed for most of these, so they may not be accurate.

Edit: I'm not sure how to best do Weapons, Armor, Accessories because it's formatted a bit differently. I'll be looking into them a bit more though. Sorry!
Awesome list.. Now that i can use both editor's hopefully i can rely some information.
I will be using this.. Thank for your hard work. =]

Btw for Accessories you can check the list I posted.... but the translations are horrible, so you'd still have to compare it with stuff in-game. I can probably translate a few of them correctly, but yeah. I don't even care for most Accessories tbh. Only a few ones I actually care about haha. Unfortunately those are exactly the ones I haven't figured out yet due to the poor translations.
[Edit]
Might be handy to also describe how to add each item and to show them how it works with the actual hex codes rather than just it_elixir. (Especially when you manually want to add items).
Example Elixir (255)
Code:
Hex Explanation:
[Item Code:[69 74 5F 65 6C 69 78 69 72] 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 [Item Amount:[##]
Actual Hex Strings how it should end up:
69 74 5F 65 6C 69 78 69 72 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 FF
Take note of the block length for Items. It's important you do that part right, otherwise you'll end up with a corrupt Save.
If you want more than 255 you'll have to edit the "00" in front of the FF. Do not add an additional FF after the one that's already there, because in that spot is where the next item will begin.
