v0.22 has a bug going on where it won't read/write to correct folder paths.
Right now it places ff13-xx.dat and APP.DAT inside a "ffxiii modified save folder" that the Editor creates on its own.
HOWEVER, in previous versions it would write the file to the same location as the Save Editor. Right now the Editor is trying to read APP.DAT (in actuality it's the Item Editors only doing this), from the same folder path where the Save Editor is residing. But obviously that file isn't there now. The workaround for this is to put the APP.DAT from the "ffxiii modified save folder" to the main folder of your Save Editor. But I'm not sure if it'll write everything back correctly.
That's why I've been telling people to use v0.19 for now until Echelo properly fixes this, because it works better than v0.22 at the moment.
Re: Lightning Returns Basic Save Editor v0.07

But it'd be nice to be able to change the abilities.
It looks like the abilities have a 50 byte stride. They are going to be a pain to figure out.
Re: Lightning Returns Basic Save Editor v0.22
Yeah... it's not as easy as FFXIII & FFXIII-2 sadly.
Re: Lightning Returns Basic Save Editor v0.22
Could somebody explain the functions of "Scale damage to enemies by" and "Scale Mag Defense by"?
I ended up getting one-shotted when messing with these.

[Edit]
Here you go. (Left Slot 1 alone, because that's a Sidequest Item).
https://www.mediafire.com/?25r3gbc4o6594o8
Code:
Item Slot | Item Name | Amount
Slot 1 | Nectar | 1
Slot 2 | Elixir | 255
Slot 3 | Elixir | 255
Slot 4 | Phoenix Down | 255
Slot 5 | Mega Remedy | 255
Slot 6 | Hero's Potion | 255
Also went ahead and gave you 255 of your current
[Other Items]. (If you happen to obtain more from monsters it'll revert to 99 for that specific Item, but at least you won't have to farm for those Items anymore).
Yup. so the problem was my save file itself.
I guess it being thrown around so much caused it to shrink.
I can save no problem now no errors or fails. Doesnt even slow or do any of the things my first save did.
All my problems are solved thanks to you. You rock bro!
So now im going to try to Hexedit.. *sighs*
Last time i did was when Dark Souls came out. Was so confusing lol.
But in the end i was able to mod it so hopefully i can do it with this.
Plus it should be easy seeing as you guys already have a good list of items to Hex.

I wonder if its possible to scale the time factor. I have read somewhere that if you activate chronostasis it lasts 75 seconds in realtime and corresponds 30min ingame time. Would be great to extend it to lets say 15min or 30min or higher. Another possibility would be to scale the normal clock like 1 ingame minute to 10 realtime minutes. I wouldnt go to far to stop time entirely cause that makes chronostasis unnessessary.
