Re: Dark Souls 2 Modding Discussion
Come to think of it, probably both illusory rings as well. Other than bone of order, I don't imagine anything else would be checked since they're all accessible in game

I might as well just tell you this all now that if you cheat you WILL BE CAUGHT since the servers pick up on specific items in your inventory now. I'm probably going to toss this game away and pick up Lords of Shadow 2 and play that, because screw Soft. :D
I mean, I get it but you can't honestly be mad at From for banning someone in an online game that effects other player's gaming experience. We can still enjoy save editing offline for the trophies and the experience. I was mostly using the save edits to just test things and thankfully I didn't use them on my main account. But really, isn't that a risk we take whenever we decide to stick our dirty fingers on a save file? I still love the game and will be playing even if there isn't a way around the bans.

If I used a save editor to give myself legit stats and equipment, would I still get banned even though I haven't caused any serious harm?

There are plenty of people who get away with this type of thing. The next ban wave will catch them, since they do it during calibration updates. Also I'm not too concerned. Since I am playing Final Fantasy 14. (MMO) so that alone gives me a reason not to care.

i've edited stats and been fine but at this point I would recommend staying away from your inventory.
Re: Dark Souls 2 Modding Discussion
I like the game, so I will stick with it for awhile longer. I will just make a new profile and PvP on that instead. No biggie. I can just use the modded Calibration data, since it's not yet patched.
Re: Dark Souls 2 Modding Discussion
I think most recent server maintenance fixed the checksum on the game! I can't hex edit anymore using Idlehand's checksum fixer!

I just did a couple of hours ago. Added a bunch of stuff and modded the stats with no issue. Are you sure you didn't miss anything?
