I have never gone online in the game after purchasing it (though I am connected to Xbox Live) and haven't even downloaded the first game update yet.
As I understand it from your original post in this thread, I would need to download the USER_DATA15 file attached to this post to make this editor work for me because I have never gone online? Do you think it would reset all my progress so far if I replace the USER_DATA15 file from my current save that I downloaded from your original post in the Modded Start thread with the USER_DATA15 file posted here?
Also, do my calibrations get downloaded automatically even when I am not connected to the game online?
Thanks.
If u don't want the colaborations to configure your save the disconnect your xbox from the internet

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
Sucks about the restrictions your putting on it since know doubt people will use this for PvP even "mods" am not saying all the mods will but am sure some will use this for PvP its just human nature to want power.
Thanks Idle for making this anyway even with the restrictions this mod tool is still pretty amazing.

I don't think you can disable it completely, but you could stop your Gamertag from logging in automatically, or you could go to the network options and disconnect and forget the network until you re-add it.

would replacing the USER_DATA15 file from my save with the USER_DATA15 posted in this thread make my progress to be reverted to whatever is in this USER_DATA15 file? I don't have any updates and I only play offline.
Is game progress tracked using USER_DATA15? or is it tracked using something else?
-
Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
Nice work Idle. Another great editor from you. Thanks!

Make a backup first... Also no progress is stored in the USER_DATA15 file.

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
Ok I'm new to this whole modding thing. I have winrar and I downloaded the offzip and packzip along with the rest of things that come with the parameter editor. I can extract my USER_DATA15 but whenever I drag it over so I can decompress it nothing appears in the new folder I have tried doing this a lot of times and would like to know what I am doing wrong so I can fix it.

You don't drag it, just double click the Decompress.bat file and as long as the USER_DATA15 file is in the same folder as the bat file, it will Decompress the save.

another fantasic job, good job mate

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
ok I got it in the same folder but it still isn't doing it the little black screen on my computer says it is doing it but alas when I go to open it in the editor it says nothing is in the new folder. what is the proper way to extract it all I did was extract using horizon put it on my desktop and then put it in the same folder as the decompress bat sorry for being a shitty modder in advance and thank you.

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
This works excellently, thanks.

have you tried running the .bat file as an administrator? If that doesn't work, open cmd prompt as an admin by right clicking on it and navigate to the folder manually using DOS commands and execute the .bat

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor

I am receiving the following error when I try to insert the checksum fixed USER_DATA15 file into my savegame. I am using the supplied USER_DATA15 file as I only play offline. I followed all instructions to the dot in the OP.
STFS:Invalid number of free blocks detected while allocating blocks.

Use Le Fluffie to put the USER_DATA15 file back into your save.

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
** First post updated **
Added Con manager 1.4
If horizon doesn't replace/inject your USER_DATAXX properly then use con manager. Tested several times and works perfect!!

Hey Idle when you changed the moveset for that weapon did you modify the item weight value like in dark souls 1 on the pc? I'm trying to give the the throne watcher greatsword the move set of a katana.

Use Le Fluffie to put the USER_DATA15 file back into your save.
It worked perfectly with Le Fluffie.
Thanks.

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
Oh no, i knew that. I mean it's just flat out claiming my password is incorrect despite using it to log in to the site on multiple occasions and i'm not receiving emails from 360haven in order to reset it.
Edit:
As it turns out, i had to run the editor in compatibility mode for Windows 7. It let me log in fine after that. Odd.

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
Can somebody point me where to download Le Fluffie?
I googled it , but I didn't find it...Thanks in advance
Edit:
Never mind, I found it

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
You have to make sure that the device where you have the "save file" that you want to put into your PC to edit, is where the calibration is downloaded to. So basically....the way i do it.
1.put USB in Xbox, load or make a new legit character ( just to get the calibrations on the USB as well) and let the calibrations go through. Exit to the main menu once your game loads up in the beginning and put your USB in your PC.
2: Follow the steps Idle instructed, and that message that you have displayed there should not be a barrier anymore. Because it has happened to me as well.
3. Now the way I do it to keep the modded save from corrupting or having to use the program every time, make another character, have that legit save "ONLY" to pass the calibrations. So every time you load up the game, always remember to pick that legit save first before you load your personal modded saves.
4. once you load up that dummy legit save to pass the calibrations, exit to the main menu, load up that save you modded ( the one in the USB) and the calibrations won't be a bother sense it only does it once per save unless you exit to dashboard.
5. (IMPORTANT PART) now I bet you're wondering " so I have to start over ?" No! Once you load the dummy legit save to pass the calibrations. Exit. Load the save you modded, test it out, to make sure the mods work, then exit to the menu again. And then just load your personal file and the mods will still work no matter what other save you load.
It's like Idle's brilliant editor mods the calibrations itself lol and you just have to make sure to always load the legit/non-modded save to pass the calibrations. At least that's how I do it lol I know I'm complicated.....but it works ha

Re: Dark Souls II Parameter Editor
Hey Idle can you have a look at my save.
It just corrupted on me.
When i replaced the USER_DATA15, the same USER_DATA15 from when i first modded my save
and i loaded it up it stayed on the loading screen
i noticed that when it showed the items in the game on the loading screen
there was no item there so i let it stay there for a while but still stuck on loading.
so i went to the dash and when i tried to load it again it corrupted.
is there anyway to save this or no?
https://www.mediafire.com/?vjiqzf42u8xx9u7
i have a backup but its a few bosses behind which is ok
but if you can help me on this i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I had my save freeze up on loading too, I removed the save back to my pc and redid the user_data 15 part over and it loaded fine.
