I know Obyto's editor can do this too, but you can never be too sure; it always reduces the original file size from 12 MB to 7 MB, regardless of the changes you make.
On the other hand, Jappi could always be a pal and let us know what is and isn't working, and what needs to be done until it's publicly released.
Touching the soul memory is what gets most people the ban, and if all you want changed is souls or stats it's very easy to just hex the save yourself, there's instructions and pics of what needs to be changed on the modding thread.

First public release will be when im satisfied, when all basic stuff are working.
some neat feutures will be disable for now until later update.
it will be released this weekend , prob tomorow.
First release will be focused on easy save management, and basic editing, more advanced stuff well be added in later update.
I am SO ready for this! I love the lore DarkSouls has, but there's just so much of it, and a lot of it is really difficult to get to. XD Besides, I don't plan on going online with DarkSouls 2 for quite a bit more time. Get used to the game and such. Thank you so much for the constant updates!

That's only if you go full-retard and make yourself SL 838/SM 0. FROM makes checks every 72 hours and soft-bans players who're caught cheating. Things like 99 Bones of Order, a SL higher/SM lower than required for that SM/SL, etc are dead giveaways.
Although, I'm a very lazy person.

Because it makes sense that Jappi should cater to the needs of individuals with an editor this complex...

Don't be so passive-aggressive. Why shouldn't it make sense? Technically, he is catering to individuals, specifically cheaters like us.
