I'm sure that you're doing something wrong and that is partially my fault because I probably wasn't too clear in my instructions but its a little difficult to do so while typing in messages. The process seems complictaed until you actually know what you're doing, then its easy.
Im use all kind of saves, I do nothing wrong with the program, some times the ps3 load the modifieds ones, sometimes not

Jappi or ReDeMpTiOn, could you explain to me how to create a new BaseFile.BF again please? I'd like to make another attempt :003: More important, I can use only Horizon (Party Buffalo doesn't want to load the USB contents) :003:

1). Insert a formatted USB into your Xbox.
2). Load up dark souls 2.
3). Select the USB drive on the storage page
4). Go through the contract page.
---you should see saving before and after
5). When you get to the home screen (new game, load etc...) pull out your USB.
6). Extract it to your desktop.
7). Once on desktop. Rename the save to BaseFile.BF
8). Go to where ever you have your dark souls 2 save editor at and there should be a resources folder.
---it has your item database, BaseFile.BF, Etc.
9). Copy and paste or drag the save you named to BaseFile.BF to the resource folder.
10). Click overwrite or replace.
11). You are done
NOTE:
-Make sure the save has NO CHARACTERS on it and that it is a correct 14mb save.
-Don't click rehash and save within horizon. Just copy it over to your USB to make sure that it doesn't shrink your save. (Idk if that will work) (the save editor rehashes and saves for you)
-Remember that the save can't have no characters on it. So once you get through the contract on dark souls 2 and click yes. You will have a save without an characters on it.

Thanks!! I'll try again :067: Must necessarily be a formatted USB? Or just a Usb without a save of Dark Souls 2 above? Furthermore, to step 5, when you say "pull out your usb" you mean without leaving the game or can I go back to the dashboard first? I'm asking just to be sure :006: So, only after step 11 I can use the restore stfs with my corrupted save, right? Then when I inject the new save, there's no need to click "save, rehash and resign"?

I mean just make sure it's formatted to your xbox haha my bad. Make sure it doesn't have a dark souls 2 save on it. You can go back to dashboard or just pull it out at the menu screen. Once you done every step and copied the new BaseFile.BF into the resource folder. You can then do the restore STFS.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
How do you get the unused content into your actual inventory? It keeps getting removed when I load my game. Is there a way to get the unused into the game? I wanted the barrel and the talismans

You can't have any items that are In the trash bin. And reason they are in there is because quote unquote not in the actual game. Think of them as items that were In testing but was removed by the developers of the game.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
How is it that some people are able to get the barrel armor then?

The player's name is Tallgeese. He is infamous in the community for his talent at diving into the game's inner workings and emerging with gold.
Sometimes he is malicious in that he might hunt you down and kill you, but he will never ruin your gaming experience in the way some hackers do.

Yeah about that. I drag them from the database into the main inventory tab. The barrel armor is then visible in the chest armors. I save the data base. Now the barrel is moved from the database into inventory tab. THEN I drag the barrel armor onto my characters inventory and see it right next to my equipped armor. I save changes like normal and start the game. The barrel armor has disappeard. Everything stays the same.

Try equipping it on the inventory screen within the editor. I am interested about this now. I am going to look in on this when I get home.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
If I don't plan on playing online could I use Idlehands's parameter editor with my modded file from this or should I just wait until the parameter portion of this editor is ready to go?

You won't be able to play online if you use idlehands parameter editor so you can use both of them.

Have you used a parameter editor? You may have to use a back up

No I haven't, how do you do that? I'm a little slow on this stuff sometimes.

I was asking if you did. So I guess you didn't. Hey if you want PM me your save and I will look at it.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
So if I just edited in, and quickly used, say, 50 smooth & silky stones do you think I would be banned?

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
Absolutely amazing work, yet again Jappi! The interface is very pleasing and easy to use and the tool works like a charm. Awesome how it updates, extracts saves, I mean you pretty much made everything automatic; you spoil us and I thank you for it :)

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.0.0
Wanted to ask, Is it possible to make our own equipment by using the database? Would be awesome to see the return of the "Dreaded" Dark Wood Grain Ring or other DS1 favorites. If not, what are your thoughts on the editor having a tool to do this? I will admit it sounds hard to take a item effect from a previous game but imagine the possibilities...:051:

Sorry for the really late reply but.. I think i used Idles editor once just to try it out but once when he first made it but i only played offline. then i sent my copy of DS2 back into gamefly and just recently got it back and ever since then i couldnt find anyone online to play with or even play with my friends. Is that editor the reason why i cannot find people online?

It's a "soft" ban where you appear to be online but you really are on a sort of bad sport server (for XBox, at least. For the PS3, I haven't been able to connect to even the bad sport server after being banned). Since you no longer get a message saying you are banned, the best way to know 100% is to go to the blue or red arena and see if you can find a match. They don't work off of SM or SL, you are paired randomly depending on availability so you should be able to connect to someone if you are not banned from online play. Keep in mind that you have to be within a certain SM range of eachother to do coop (player status, top right) with a friend so the arena is the safest way to make sure. If you can connect to an arena player but can't co-op with your friend, feel free to post both of their SM ranges here or PM them and I will try to help you.
If you are banned, all characters on the account will be affected. To be able to play with other banned characters (on XBox), you can set your stats to the recommended values that the editor suggests. You don't get a lot of matches, but you will at least have some online play. Most people get banned from editing certain stats or from illegitimate item stacks.
Sorry for the late reply.. its been awhile since i played ds2 im just getting back onit again after getting it back from gamefly.
and i tried to get into the red arena and i got nothing.. i didnt exactly do it the legit way though. I got a save that had all the bonfire locations opened and i just went there to see if i could find a match and no i got nothing. i tried all 3 spots and everytime i got the message saying i wasnt able to find any matches.. So does that mean i am banned then? If so that sucks a lot but it is my own fault for modding so im not mad.. I guess i can play on my GF's account until she wants to play but other then that i guess i am "soft banned" is there a way to get out of that? other then joining a banned server? deleteing all the updates and clearing the cache along with all the modded saves wont help.. will it? and idk where the blue arena is.

Ok ill try that.. But if i am get banned or soft banned is there a way to get around it?
Since i can still somewhat get online could i be able to unban myself or maybe someone can do it for me?
Or am i just SOL?
I do have a backup account i can play on but i dont have gold for it i was thinking of getting on there and see if i can play.
If so, would there be a way to trade/move the ban from one account to another?
Also, is there a God that you know has a lot of people on it that i should pick to play with random people?
Because my friend isnt on and idk when he'll be on.

The ring helps narrow down servers. Each god is a server. Best to keep it off if your looking for randoms. Try googling around to see If the banns are temp. And I don't think the save is banned just your account so you could transfer the save and rehash your new accounts info into it.

Hey before you start deleting stuff. Try creating entirely new save. And see it you can play online.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.0.0
Sigh i give up trying to mod my save. I have 2 characters that are in end game in NG. Because i decided to wait till i have what i need before modding. And now all i ever get is "saving failed returning to main menu" . I don't know what i'm doing wrong. It works if i mod it near the beginning but for some reason it Corrupts on my end game save file. I haven't tried modding my save without the souls i got throughout the game. Maybe it's all the boss souls i got that's causing it not to sure. I'll try again tonight.
