One last thing to try before deleting anything. Grab a friend with similar soul memory and the engraved ring. Pick the same god and see if one of you can summon one another. But if neither of you can your most likely soft banned

Since i can still somewhat get online could i be able to unban myself or maybe someone can do it for me?
Or am i just SOL?
I do have a backup account i can play on but i dont have gold for it i was thinking of getting on there and see if i can play.
If so, would there be a way to trade/move the ban from one account to another?
Also, is there a God that you know has a lot of people on it that i should pick to play with random people?
Because my friend isnt on and idk when he'll be on.

yo guys, would you mind taking the conversation somewhere else ? like pm or shoutbox ?
This thread is mented for support, or tool related stuff, talking about Online is really unreletive...especially when im not supporting online cheating.

Sorry about that Jappi and i understand.. sorry if it sounds like im trying to be one of those players who abuse things like this to ruin games for others. I simply just want to do co op with friends thats all.. I've personally never invaded anybody before or after anyone started modding DS2. Im strictly a co-op player thats why im trying to find anyway that i can play with with my friends. i honestly dont care for the pvp. I and im sure everyone else knows the feeling of getting f'd by an a-hole in one way or another from unfair play.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.0.0
I'd like to clarify that once you're softbanned, that is a server thing and you can't fix it using your save file. Once you are banned, that PSN/Xbox account can no longer work with online play although you can see bloodstains/messages and stuff. Sounds like you're banned to me so that's it. As Jappi said, cheats are primarily for single player and using them irresponsibly can trigger their softban system so be good out there!
source: I have a bunch of accounts banned that I was trying to figure out how to trigger their system

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.0.0
Can you make a option that makes a blank character as deprived then we can edit it then save it on our usb since PS3 cannot copy Dark Souls 2 Data?
-
Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.0.0
Thank you for making this, first of all, and for sticking around to offer help and feedback.
I've been using the DomThyBomb mega mule as the base save and edited from there. Sometimes it works like a charm, but more often than not, my character will reset to default stats (but retain the souls and soul memory). When I walk in the door at Things Betwixt, if it asks what my name is I know it's going to reset my stats. If it knows the name I've given to the save, I know it has worked.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong or if there is a glitch somewhere?
I can't figure out any commonalities between when it works and when it does not. Generally the only things I edit are the initial stats, and then I'll toss in a couple of spells, a shield and one weapon. Sometimes if I reinstall the editor and start with a fresh megamule save (rather than re-editing the same one over again), it will work, but on subsequent edits, it will not.

Well, if you're using Dom's megamule, it should reset. All of the characters in MM are before character creation. Character creation will always reset your stats unless you have a way to skip over Betwixt entirely (such as spawning your character at Majula). It won't reset your stats if you set your game to NG+, however, because NG+ doesn't trigger the character creation process. It is always better to use characters who are post-character creation if possible as the editor has a hard time with characters pre-creation. To work safely with characters pre-creation, you should expect all of your stats to be reset unless you are starting a NG+ game. Your appearance data won't be reset if you don't change anything at character creation menu.

Just use someone else's save which has already been posted. If you want multiple characters, SourceKnight or Megamule. Otherwise there is at least one posted in this thread and several around the internet.

It worked! :056: The save is back to 14mb :107: Seems to load and save without problems :056: Now, though, I'm afraid to edit it again :003:

You should be fine as long as you don't rehash and resign with horizon. The editor does everything you need. So you can use horizon to import and export your saves.

So this was the problem with Horizon? The "rehash and resign" part? :033:

That's what I believe causes the resizing of the save. Do this:
-Make a back up of your save or use a downloaded save doesn't matter.
-Extract it using horizon. (If it's your save)
-Check to see if it's 14mb.
-if it is 14mb. Drag and drop the save into horizon. (If it's downloaded or the save you extracted)
-click rehash and save.
-check the mb of the save your rehash and saved.
-it should be like 8mb now.
Don't worry about messing it up again because you can always use the restore STFS if it occurs. I use the restore STFS every time I load up my save. But I don't have to. Just don't click rehash and save using horizon.
Edit: make sure you always make a back up before you save etc...

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
Ok, so I have having an issue with the editor. Its a rather basic one but I have not seen anyone post it here. It prompts me with an error message when trying to load a save off my usb, desktop/files etc. But all it says is "Unable to read beyond the end of the stream". Any one have any ideas? I read something about "stacks" but It was all computer talk to me, and I have little knowledge of such things. Please help! Thank you.

I only use the USB loader in the editor now. Jappi has it working so you can extract and replace. I do use party buffalo when I have to insert a save onto my USB when there isn't a dark souls 2 directly. I was telling that member what he could try and see because neither party buffalo and the USB loader in the editor wasn't working.

Modified two more times and... It worked both!! :056: And the file still remains 14mb :056: Like you said, it's probably that damn rehash and resign that caused problems :headbang:

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
[startbitterness]
Those looking for a PC save editor, don't look to jappi for that, that's way beyond his expertise - Request such a thing elsewhere by known cheat/save editor developers. It's quite probable that jappi ruined the whole ds2 editing scene though since he made a nice looking editor, so nobody wants to spend the time making something that already exists, probably won't look as nice and also adding support to all platforms.
jappi however would likely not admit he's out of his comfort zone attempting PC support, and is clearly too stubborn to collaborate with somebody else.
So everybody thank jappi for single-handedly destroying the potential for the ds 2 modding scene, just so some people could cheat on the xbox 360/ps3
[/endbitterness]
Nice job on making the editor look so nice.

first off...i did not make this so cool to demotivate other developers, that is just how i roll.
second, im not stubborn to calibrate with someone else...infact, if you read the first post, you will see that o clearly stated that help from outside is much appreciated and should contact me when interested.
And last: you are mistaken about my expertise. ..its way beyond your understanding.
Final : people like you are the reason why pc support is not added yet.

Don't let it get to you Jappi! You are a inspiration and we know how you roll. And besides that person is a one hit wonder. Just made a account to complain and hate on you for being awesome.
Btw: have your donations picked up any since the TuT video? And are you working on a new update for the editor or is it stable enough now? Just curious :)
-
Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
Wow, that was the most arbitrarily rude accusation I've ever heard. It's discourages other developers because it looks nice and has good support? While Jappi added some very nice UI choices, it's a textbook metro UI app with some nice styling. There's no stopping anyone else from using the metro UI kits available to make their app look nice as well! That's just silly.
Jappi has done nothing but support the editing scene. All the things that an editor would offer, people who are actually deep into the modding scene are already doing with CE. When Jappi finishes PC support, it will be to enable people who are not capable of using CE which is definitely not members of the modding scene. If you're so offended by all this, maybe you should learn to code and make your own and stop complaining. PC support will come when it comes, and until then the modding community is still thriving on all platforms, PC included.

Clearly nonsense, as jappi's DS 1 save editor works just fine for PC, but at least he admits he's just bitter that it hasn't come out yet. This is clearly just a lame attempt to guilt/goad jappi into providing what he wants - which clearly backfired by jappi's response.

First: I didn't say it was intentional, but it is something that happens across the scene. Somebody makes a tool - it makes others lose motivation for making a similar tool.
Secondly: You do accept help from the outside, but you don't look for it. People in this thread have offered too.
Thirdly: I am not mistake about your expertise, otherwise - why are you making cheat tools and not doing a larger project.
Finally: People like me are the reason things like PC support gets added, a burning passion for the PC as a gaming platform.
PS: As in my first reply it should mostly be disregarded, as somebody posted later and pointed out I admitted it was mostly bitter feelings that PC support was not added.
Note: PC Support will not be added and jappi confirmed that, after a few people had been waiting for information over several weeks(months?).
In reply to first post comment: Yes it was a one hit wonder, though if you check the join date I have had this account for some time now, and I'm usually just a silent supporter.

Im not quite sure why my save keeps corrupting for. Im not going over bored with the modding im just giving myself a little bit of souls to help out. No items or equipment, just souls.
Great layout ! i love the detail, time and effort put into this tool :casquemusik:
dw i found out what i was doing wrong. Instead of using horizon to put the save file back on the usb, i use the save editor to do it for me and so far it works
