Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
I downloaded the editor the other day and am yet to get it to work. I am trying to load my characters through the usb option from my 360. I am brand new to all of this and haven no idea what I am doing wrong but I cannot get it to work. Can someone give me some very specific instructions on what to do please?

You need to wait for the editor to be updated since a new update came out with the dlc.

Just adding the item to access the new area wouldn't work because you'd be missing the actual dlc files, maybe with a modded console, but not on retail.

Any idea when we will see an update for this editor like in a few days or weeks ?:054:

Actually as long as you have the compatibility pack which I'm pretty sure is required to play online, you are able to get the DLC items.

Yes, you can get all of the DLC items but you can't actually get into the DLC itself (even if you have the key items required). I haven't been able to find a way, at least.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
Another problem I have been facing. I put 40pts into vitality (health) . When I load the mod on my xbox it shows 40. In the start the life bar is huge. But when I equip the life ring+2 it says my stat is 40. But my life bar is as small as when we make a new character. This also happens without the life ring on. After a while the huge life bar becomes tiny. And I should have about 2000hp or more. But its only 980 hp. Please help.

It's ~100MB, probably so players can be invaded by people with the dlc items, not unlike fable 2.
http://www.xbuc.net/browse/dark-souls-ii/
If FSD was hooked up to this site i wouldn't be missing half my title updates, i can't even see any gta TUs i have to harvest them manually like a peasant.

Hey Jappi. Could you fix the editor where it literally only adds one of a item. For example items that you uncheck in the items database that you don't want to have more than one of ex.) white soap stone, etc... Because when you click add all items it does what it suppose to do and adds only one of those items but then you click add all items again and it re adds all the items you have it set to only have one of. So if you hit the add all items multiply times you will have the items you can only have one of get added each time you hit the button. So if you tried to add x9999 items in your item box you will have numerous copies of the items that you can only have one of there as well. So in truth it doesn't fully prevent you from getting more than one of those items if that make sense.

the "CanHaveMoreThenOne" propertie is ment only for items that u can multiply the ammount without adding the same item over again.
Unchecking that propertie will take out the effect, and adds the item as new instance without increasing the ammount value.
i can do one thing though, i can make it ask for overwrite over whatever when the item already exist, then you can choose wether you want it added or not.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.0.0
so, again, can u mess with the durability? i put it to 999 or 99 and nothing happened. and second, are you gonna thinker with the dlc?

It is mainly for the stuff like white soap stone and other items that game only let's you have one of. The editor just adds a stack of one of the onlyhaveoneof items each time you click add all items. I mean it's not a big issue but for some reason the editor starts to lag out when I start deleting the duplicates.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
So I used the save editor today & now I'm getting the message Failed to save game Returning to title menu. I added some tseldora pieces.
I even tried adding the pieces using hxd then using Idles checksum fixer. Also is there a better program for rehash/resigning than Horizon because after this update I am getting an error.
I made backups so it's not a big issue.

The editor does it for you but I use modio to rehash and save other peoples saves.
Also try using the STFS fixer to fix the save issue

It does if you had previously set everything up and kept the BaseFile.bf updated properly. Because mine works like a charm.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
I've been having issues with the STFS fixer as well. I added DLC items, after which my save was corrupted & would not load. STFS Fixer resolved the problem & I could load successfully, items were there, however I would get 'Failed to Save Game' & get booted to the main menu. I tried STFS fixing again & now I get an error in the editor. I'm going to try from square one with a brand new character & see if it was just the way I did things.
In the event that I can't sort this out, would anyone be kind enough to create a save from the beginning with just the DLC weapons & armor in the inventory? If it's not too much trouble it would be greatly appreciated. Either that or I'll patiently wait for the editor to be updated & hope that bypasses all of my problems.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
Wait, so people can actually edit post-patch saves?
I tried to edit a save but I got a parameter buffer error, pretty sure someone else in the thread listed what it exactly was.
Guessing STFS post patch is the real problem then?
@exerted, You can fix your Failed2Save with this for now http://pastebin.com/Gu64Fk3e

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
I tried swapping characters to a fresh file & now I'm stuck at failed to 'The save data was not loaded correctly'. Trying to determine whether it's due to the patch or if I'm just screwing it up.
-
Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.0.0
I was wondering how to fix this sometimes when i load DS2 after using the save editor it restricts calibrations. Once i enter my game then return to the main menu it corrupts the save data. Do some items corrupt the game? by the way thanks alot for the save editor :)

When did you try it?
I'd suggest trying after you use STFS the first time and get Fail2save
.....Anyone wanna tell me how to get my DLC Spells back? T-T

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2

My saves have not been corrupted on the PS3 even with DLC items manually added in. One of the big issues dealing with PS3 save files is that they are all sourced from someone. I've heard a lot of people having issues with megamule but I don't use it personally so I can't confirm that. I use SourceKnight's saves as a base and have not had any problems.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
Hello, I just discovered your editor. It looks fantastic. I hope it will soon work again. Ine question, is it risky to move my save from xbox to a USB to edit or should I just start a new character and play offline? The idea if I use the editor is to access the NG+(+) stuff and not to edit my stats. I would still get banned right? I paid for the game and the dlc and I love it but as I can't find summons to help get through NG+(+) hence I would like to be a bit lazy.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.2
Wait, I'm confused. Does the editor somewhat work now? Because people are talking about adding DLC items (of which I'm not really concerned, as I have the DLC and most of the new items already), but when I go in the editor I don't see any of them. I redownloaded it, too. All I want to do is add some souls, but I'm afraid that if I do, even if the save does load and function properly, that I'll lose my DLC items.

Always make a backup. You don't even have to use the editor to do it. Just make a duplicate copy of your game save somewhere on your desktop to be save and then play with your save as much as you like. Also many of us are adding in the DLC manually with a hex editor but you can also add items to the database

I will, I was just confused about the DLC situation. I'll test things out and see what happens.
But to be safe, should I be adding in items to the database so I don't lose them? If so, how?
EDIT: All right, tested it, and indeed my DLC items were lost. On top of that, it still had the "Failed to save" issue for whenever it tried to save. So I'll put my backup in and just keep waiting.

Dont worry about the dlc items, i have updated my db with every new items...even the unused ones.
I did some test on the ps3 version of the game using the updated tool and all dlc items...everything worked great and there where no conflicts at all...
The xbox360 failed to save isseu comes from the Stfs file and hard to pinpoint...im working on remaking the stfs lib , but that may take a while to finish.
