you have to find the "resources" folder and it should have a file in it that says DS2 database or something like that just copy that database into there when it says that the file already exists just choose to replace.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.6
I noticed that there are two hex codes for the majestic greatsword. Is there a difference between the two?

You will just have to add both and find out. I think even if you add both only one gets added.

What system are you doing this for? i have used this since the latest update and it works just fine. I don't know if you are using an external program to extract and load the save but it is not needed for this save editor just choose the option load from USB save it and make the backup when asked to do so. It works fine for me i am on xbox 360.

Xbox, and im just using it regulary. I load the save from my usb via the save editor, change/add in whatever i need, hit save changes and save a back up and all that good stuff but when i load the game up afterwards no changes have been made

You've been having this issue since the last update probably because you haven't clicked "do not allow item duplication" and "do not allow DLC items" to turn them off.... which you have to do in order for it to actually send the extra twinkling titanite to your save ;).
If you did try this maybe post your save for Jappi or someone else who can access the game right now and get them to figure it out? :p

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.6
Hey guys, does anyone of you possibly have a PS3 save with all 10 characters that works with this? DomThyBomb's isn't working for some reason. I've been using a 1-character-only Mule to save edit but it's getting kinda annoying having to either make new accounts or re-mule just because I want to try builds with higher/lower levels. Content of the mule wouldn't matter as long as I have 10 characters before the character creation, ready to get edited.
Thanks in advance.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.6
It deleted my Smelter Wedges and Nadalia souls (and probably other items I haven't noticed yet), the hex editor is beyond me, am I just screwed or what?

Thanks, so do I literally just enter the name, ID, and description and that's it?

Yes. Just make sure you add It to the right category because it may mess your save up if you something to the wrong place. Ex). Placing an consumable item in the armor category.

i once used a cheat which multiplied my inventory by 99 , even after removing it the game reads it as full inventory and thus when it wants to do add the dlc item it closes and returns to xmb.i have to manually remove 1 object every time i add something. i forgot to do that before updating and now im stuck in shulva. so i cant even revert to deleting and reinstalling dlc since the save wont start without it i cant remove it now either. please help me its my ng +++ save and this editor is my only hope. dlc works fine if i start a new game btw

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.6
Two questions (I made an account just for this editor):
1. Is there an ETA on an Old Iron King update?
2. Does changing New Game to New Game + and beyond actually work? I tried setting a new character's playthrough to NG++ but it kept me in NG.
Thanks in advance.

There is no official version update for the save editor but there is info on the IDs of all of the items so you can add them in and then edit them in and I know for a fact that editing the new game works because i have done it.

-I posted an unofficial database upload somewhere in this thread that you can download or there is a text file with it yiu can use to add your own.
-no info about the update has been released except that it's going to be an big updating according to Jappi.
-And for the play through setting. Make sure you place it on 2. Sometimes when you first load your save for the first time you start at bonfire level 0 in the editor. In truth bonfire level 1 is first play through and bonfire level 2 is the second play through and so on...
-tips- if it doesn't save try double saving or save and edit something else and save again.
Note: make sure your character is passed character creation before changing to that playthrough.

Umm to your problem you could try extracting the corrupt save somewhere on your desktop and name it something so you won't get it mixed up with a good file and once its extracted onto the desktop go back onto your console make a brand new save and then extract it onto your desktop and name it something so you know its the good file open up the save editor choose "restore STFS" button insert the corrupt file onto the top bar and the new save onto the bottom one. And it should give you a good fixed save. Give that a try if that doesn't work you may be SoL unless someone else knows a way to fix it.

thanks for the reply but my data isnt corrupt. it loads up perfectly.the problem is the dlc. which is trying to continuously add its key item. if i remove the dlc. i cnt start the save since i am i shulva. had there been separate files for dlc. it would o been possible , but since its included in the update itself. i cant.
i any case , my ONLY hindrance is the user infoblock thing. ive tried it on a new save and it still happens so its something to do with incomplete faulty setting. because the editor loads my problematic save just as properly as any . only problem occurs when i try to save it. so ALL i need to do is clear up my my x99duplicates in the inventory , which too is perfectly possible with the editor. after which it should be able to add the dlc item.

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.6
Hi, I just downloaded this and modified an Xbox save from my USB, I went to save it the first time and it said "Ready to play", so I plugged it back into the 360 and nothing changed. I loaded the save back into the program and re-saved it and i get "Error - Cannot move position past FileEntry size." Any tips on how to get this to work properly?

try to transfer your save data from your usb to your computer using Horizon or Modio .. then do what you want to do in the save editor then save the changes and move it back to your usb .. and when you get it in your xbox move the save data from your usb to your xbox HDD that way you avoid getting a soft banned when you load up your save :007:

Re: [PS3/XB360]Dark Souls II Save Editor V1.0.1.7
Love it! Thank you. I haven't noticed anything as far a bugs go. I did have 1 question though. In the previous version there was a
parameters button. Now I see it isn't there. Was there going to be a way to change HP and Stamina or how fast weapons and equipment
decay? If so that would be awesome! Thank you again. Great job!

yeh, and i still have to finish it... but it was consuming a space that i needed, so i had to remove it for now.
The parameter editing is very cool but intended for ofline use only, because the file that needs modding will be downloaded online each time you start a session.

you dont have to drag any folder to anywhere, if you wish to have a different backup path then change it in the setting field and it will store all the backups there.
you can choose any directory for you backups.

I'm not able to download the db? Trying the direct link in op gives an error due to traffic and if I try updating by using the program it just constantly asks to update without ever downloading it. Anything I can do for this?

Same here! The previous version is still working great Jappi88.
